Brown: ‘No Regrets’ on Cosmo Nude Spread

Massachusetts Senator-elect Scott Brown says he has “no regrets” about posing nude for a 1982 Cosmopolitan magazine photo spread.  In an exclusive “This Week” interview, Brown told Barbara Walters “you have to have a sense of humor about yourself,” and links the centerfold to many of his successes that came later in life.  “If I hadn't done that… I never would have been sitting here with you.  It's all connected,” Brown told Walters.

An unknown law student at the time, Brown said the magazine appearance put him in the company of such stars as Burt Reynolds, Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Hasselhoff, who had also posed for the magazine.

Asked how he would react if his daughters ever wanted to pose nude, Brown said he’d “leave it up to their discretion”.

Brown said he hopes there’s no double standard that might apply to a woman politician who had been photographed nude in her past. “If someone is qualified to do the job, they should be able to do it, regardless of what they've done in their past,” Brown said.

And why should he regret it.
I am just so pleased that he is so articulte and honest. He was the State Senator from our district and we are so happy that he is doing so well.
Even with Barbara WaWa (no offense)

I meant to write articulate. Yes, we can spell in Massachusetts.
The Scott Brown skit on SNL last night was very funny.
He did not act like that here, that is for sure. He is a devoted family guy. But the skit is really funny. Especially Barney Frank.

You’ve got to be kidding. This guy said that the President is not charge of national security and he’s a pretty boy centerfold. Another good-looking airhead like Sarah Palin. Thanks Massachusetts for reviving the Republican party so they get another shot at destroying the economy.

I can see why Obama immediately went into Campaign Mode and held a press conference after Scott Brown’s win. I LIKE THIS GUY! Very unassuming, unpretentious…a LIBERAL thinker. And congratulations to Massachusetts, the citizens made an excellent choice. To the Party Line people: party affiliation is irrelevant today–Independents Rule! Brown will work hard and with integrity for the people of Massachusetts.

I find it hypocrital beyond belief that Barbara Walters would have the audacity to question Brown on a morality issue after she admitted to an affair with a married Massachusetts congressman…

There is no reason the guy should be embarrassed at all. The photo was tastefully done and he looked great. If I were his family I would be proud of him–which is what he said his family pretty much were. He seems to maintain his fitness too! Many of you know that I am NOT a fan of Sarah Palin–except I find her WILDLY entertaining, but she is very fit too. We need to see more examples of people leading healthy lifestyles and looking fit (like President Obama and President Bush.) With that said, I think it unfortunate (and a double standard) when Newsweek made light of Palin’s running photos. I think that it was below the belt and just unnecessary to intimate that “cheese cake” sort of message.

IOIYAR – and not a woman…because up her in “Liberal land” we don’t elect women into office. Dem or Repub.

It is nice to hear someone who is well balanced. Someone who speaks straight and not filled with linguistic foam. Too many politicians, yes including Obama, say one thing and do another. So far, (fingers crossed) the junior Senator from Massachusetts is doing great!

Yes, we have a good Senator, and he is yummy.

So he won because he is good-looking? Not on his policies or his promises – simply because he’s attractive. I expected more from Massachusetts voters…
