The McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform was indeed an accomplishment – the best that could be done under the circumstances. (I think the real goal should be CAMPAIGN reform so that our elected officials can spend more hours on their duties, less time raising money from lobbyists for their next campaign. But with a Supreme Court as now?) This Court has added water and fertilizer to the already vigorous trend towards Oligarchy. Good Job you 5! Keep up the good work and there’ll be a revolution within 50 years, I’d say, when the masses can no longer subsist without our daughters and wives walking the streets to keep food on the table and roof over us. And, comes the Revolution the masses won’t quibble about good oligarchs and bad oligarchs.

I thought the McCain’s were a great family but now I’ve changed my mind.
Why are they not a good family? Cause they have opposing opinions of McCain himself or yourself? This makes them a bad family? I always thought a bad family was one which abused, neglected or intentionally hurt their spouses/children, not because they had political differences. I was never a big fan of McCain or Cindy for that matter, but I never once considered them bad parents or thought their children were “BAD”. Freedom of opinion is soooo very American and a good thing.

Well I think that Cindy’s stand favoring gay marriage will sink any hope for Senator McCain’s re-election. The daughter is young and follows the free thinking younger college crowd. It’s too bad. I thought the McCain’s were a great family but now I’ve changed my mind.

My partner and I have been together for nearly nineteen years. We have to pay over $400. for his health insurance because he is self employed. If we were married he could go on my plan at work for about $20. A woman I work with is now on marriage number three (since my partner and I have been together) and her new hubby is on her $20 plan at work. Fair???

Uh why can’t monogamous gays get married and be miserable just like the rest of us? If you want to protect and defend marriage, why not ban divorce? If God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, did Adam and Eve’s kids have to have sex with each other and get married???
