No one was held accountable for ignoring red flags about Ft Hood, no one will be held accountable for the Detroit attack.
More talk from Obama that is an attempt to look like he is actually doing something.
Why would Obama fire the people he hired specifically because they think just like him.
He’s weak and soft on terrorist. The terrorist know it.
No amount of tough talk can hide it.

Mr. Tapper, you haven’t had a post about the daily press briefings yesterday or today, as far as I can tell. Are you “on strike” because of Gibby’s non-answers, or what? I was looking forward to posting about his silly “I answered that yesterday” comments when asked about the C-SPAN dust-up. I always enjoy reading your exchanges with the Gibster– please bring them back soon.

Hey Tapper…why didn’t you or any of the other poodles ask why if we’re in a war with Al Qadeda…why the hell are we putting them in the criminal justice system?
I guess ya’ll just forgot…right?

Two weeks after the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack…………..
What “failed attack”.. it worked perfectly.. you ALL are talking about it, the airline security is in Chaos..Even the left wing goober Ted Koppel says AL Quaeda was successful.. SO if Obama accepts the blame then he should be tried for not protecting the people or resign

Jake,
For awhile I thought you were a straight up guy, a real anomaly of a reporter. As a consistent viewer of your tweets and blog posts, I have however come to the conclusion that you are a consistent apologist, supporter and defender for an unsupportable and indefensible president. You take a tough line occasionally, just enough to appear unbiased, but when it comes down to it, you are always giving Obama et al the benefit of the doubt, or straight up taking their side. This “buck stop here” is a perfect example. Obama did not say squat that mattered, and more importantly, has done nothing to change his policies that clearly communicate his unseriousness about the war on terror (or, for his/your benefit war on manmade disasters).

If anyone in the so called “Al Quada” were real men and have a dispute and are lilling innocent Men Women and Children for there cause? then why don’t these cowards come out and fight this war like real men would, instead these murderers take out their frustrations on the innocent. What a bunch of cowards. Instead of being called “terrorists” these thugs should be called “the cowardly killers of the innocent”!

I wish he would say that about the economy.

Our government may have failed in connecting the dots in the Fort Hood incident on November 5. The dots regarding major Nidal Hanar, the killer, are 1. he had very awkward, anti-America attitude when working in Walter-Reed for six years. 2. he has connections with radical Muslim friends while frequently attending the Muslim religion activities, 3. he has numerous email contacts with radical jihadist cleric in Yemen. 4. he purchased a high power pistol in a Texas gun shop for mass killing, which should be known to the government.

I wonder when the MSM are going to tire of the humiliation and start demanding the Mr. Obama stand up and answer a few questions. They can do it, all they have to do is start demanding it in their releases and the White House will comply.

No. The NRA and Republicans have fought VERY hard to ensure that the government would not have that data. The ATF is statutorily barred from sharing records of a gun purchase, unless this information is needed as part of an on-going investigation. Merely being on a terrorist watch list is not adequate. No national security agent would be notified about a gun purchase unless a suspect’s name is presented with enough evidence to make the information irrelevant. Thanks NRA!

President Obama: The Buck Stops With Me…
But, wink, wink, we all know that Mr. Bush is really to blame, I’m just doing the “Buck Stops With Me” stuff to show I’m a stand up guy (unlike Mr. Bush who continues to hide out in Texas).

I’m beginning to wonder if some of the posters here aren’t avatars of the White House War Room. They always come back with perfectly worked well spun replies which completely fly in the face of the facts of the current situation.
I’ve heard there are companies (contractors) you can hire to manage your on-line identity. They monitor blogs such as this and respond to any criticism with carefully worded spin in your favor.
If so, I wonder who that would be….

I’ve heard there are people called republicans who no matter what is said or written will lie about the subject matter, amazingly you don’t have to hire anyone to have this kind of ‘service’

Wow, will wonders never cease? After 12 months of whining about “inheriting this mess” and finger pointing at the former administration, the Amateur Hour Oracle FINALLY takes responsibility for the screwups of his administration. Your resignation is accepted!!

Got to admit, even if he is BSing us with cliches that this is a first step in actually manning up and taking responsibility.
And he seems to have connected the dots on where the breakdown was in this case, namely that it was the handling of the information as it came in and made it’s way through the system.
Regardless some people need top be fired and bring in management that are going to make sure this is never going to happen again – since it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. This President seems reluctant to do this which smells of weakness (not just to us but our enemies as well).

I remember that one of the mistakes that President Reagan made was to assume responsibility for the Beirut bombing in 1983.Because of that the lower-ranking individuals that dropped the ball were not held accountable as they should have been.Mr. Obama has to stop being a nice, altruistic guy and get out the chopping block-starting with Napolitano.

Actually that is all the little man-child has done now is start talking tough. By his and others actions you would think they are all in a day-care center. There are no adults in charge.

posted “There are no adults in charge.”
OK, so by your definition, what does it mean to have “adults” in charge?
Starting two preemptive wars while sliding $1.5 Trillion into the hands of a tiny percentage of the US population as the rest of our incomes declined? Are “adults” those whose economic policies helped create the very chaos we find our nation in today, including kneecapping our country by creating a miniscule 5 Million new jobs while outsourcing became government subsidized with tax breaks?

that’s similar to the line the Bush folks used as a slam against Clinton, how did that work for america, all those ‘adults’ ?

Oh yeah, “whatever”. Just EXACTLY what else should our current President take responsibility for? For a recession that started in 2007? For the tens of millions of real American jobs that were exported to cheap foreign labor as our economy created a paltry 5 million new jobs in 8 years? Or how about starting two pre-emptive wars?

As the buck stops with you and you almost got nearly 300 people killed, then, you should do the right thing – resign from your responsibilities.
You have already big mouthed too long, and you have put too many your worse-than-Bush incompetent friends in key government positions, who are endangering your own safety and your fellow citizens safety.
