Skin Deep

Considering the question is “which picture is most representative of Barack Obama,” I’d say that you have to take the setting in context. Barack Obama is the President. The darkened photo has him in a suit and tie in front of the capitol building. That photo, in my opinion, is much more representative of him than the open collared picture with a microphone. Had the three pictures been of him in the same setting, with the same clothing, then maybe I’d agree that you were on to something. But people who voted for him would definitely see him as the amiable guy they’d like to have a beer (summit) with, whereas people who didn’t vote for him would probably be drawn more to the photo that depicts him as presidential, but not necessarily evoking any emotion beyond that.
In short, there’s no control in the experiment because you’ve allowed in too many variables and then make the assumption that it fits the mold that you were expecting it to fit..which was race..when in reality it could be the setting.

I mean seriously I just had my mortgage lender tell me while they were laughing that I would have to purposefully tank my credit score before they are even willing to look at my situation! Now there are companies cropping up that claim to help homeowners “navigate” this crisis! I talked with one last night who was so rude and arrogant(clearly he must have recently been let go from a bank or a mortgage company to have been so rude) I almost hung up on him before I educated him that he wouldn’t and didn’t have to speak to me in that tone! I mean seriously America, a senator made a mistake or maybe he even meant every word but didn’t know it to be offensive! Who hasn’t done that? But when your mortgage company basically continues to scam the American public now the new “hustle” is ruin your life then we will see whay arrangements we can work out before we leave you homeless while I sell your home for 60% less than what you owe because really we inflated the price of your loan so much we make money whether you live there or not! So I don’t care about what cocktail waitress Tiger Woods is bedding this evening, or whoever believed that because we have a president of color all of a sudden racism was dead, or whether Mark McGuire finally admitted he was taking steroids(clearly just so he can get a job to feed his family). What I want to know is when are the banks, mortgage companies going to finally admit their continued “transgressions”? When are the the banks and mortgage lenders going to admit that they have been “shooting deceit into the arms of the American people”? That would be news we want to see all day everyday!
