The Presidential Planner

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:

After the last several days being dominated by results of the administration’s review of what went wrong in the lead up to Christmas Day’s attempted terror attack, President Obama today will refocus on the economy.

The national unemployment rate stands at 10 percent, down from a high of 10.2 percent – and the president will address the new jobs numbers, set to be released this morning, during a speech on the economy in the East Room.

The president also will announce new Recovery Act funding for clean technology manufacturing jobs.

“The funds will be awarded to deserving projects that will support tens of thousands of high-quality clean energy jobs and the domestic manufacturing of advanced clean energy technologies including solar, wind, and efficiency and energy management technologies,” the White House said.

The rest of the day, the president will be in closed-door meetings with Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office.

Ah, the missing Secretary of State. Funny how she’s been so invisible lately (and by lately, I mean since Jan. 20, 2009).

What are the odds that ABC would have the “cold, cold, cold” theme on their front page all day long on a day when dismal jobs numbers were published during the Bush Presidency?
Not very high.

Not to good with employment at 10%,better put Sheriff Joe Biden in high gear to make up some more jobs that were saved or created by the Democrats pork laden Stimulus bill.
