‘Top Line’ — Do Republicans Want a Nationalized Race in Massachusetts?
ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: Republican Scott Brown’s long-shot bid for the Senate in Massachusetts has drawn wide notice in the past two weeks, with Republicans talking up the chances to pick up a Senate seat in a Democratic stronghold. But did all that attention serve to rally the Democratic base? And does Brown run the risk of looking too tied in to the GOP establishment? We talked about the hottest race around on “Top Line” today with ABC’s John Berman, who was up in the Bay State earlier in the week and interviewed both Brown and Democrat Martha Coakley:
“The Scott Brown campaign office, the Republican — there were people lined up at the door to get in and it was very, very full, [but] it was a much smaller office,” Berman told us. “The Martha Coakley office, the Democrat, was a huge office, and it was packed. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever seen as big of an office full with as many people, and they were all on the phone, too. So I really think that both sides are very energized right now. This was a race that was kind of slow in starting, but now everyone is really keyed in.” Watch the segment with John Berman, on the Massachusetts Senate race, HERE. We also checked in with Politico’s Jonathan Martin about the (apparent) endstages of health care negotiations, plus President Obama’s response to the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti. “He’s not going to have a Katrina moment,” Martin told us. “I think he wants to be seen as involved, as in leading [through] this crisis.” Click HERE to see the portion of “Top Line” with Jonathan Martin.

Biden Reflects on Grief, Suicidal Thoughts
Is Congress Sounding Dumber?
As we have seen with Landrieu and Nelson..every congressional race has national implications..this is the people’s seat for sure.

Since I do not want Obamacare to pass, I went to Scot Brown’s website and made a small donation.

Everybody wants to take a jab at Obama even when it’s about a Senate race in Massachussetts. If you don’t want health care, then it’s apparent that you already have it. Bigotry at its finest!

shelly, talk about an oversimplification. If this issue was that black and white, congress would have passed health care months ago..please. This bill is in Pelosi and Reid’s shopping cart. They are trying to check out in the express lane, but their babies (unions, lobbyists, trial lawyers etc.) are screaming and reaching for all the candy in the check-out aisle. At this point their cart is so full of m&ms and mints, snicker bars and salami sticks, you can’t even see what was originally in the cart.

deanbob your not logical. just because somebody has health care which they work for and do not want to give health care away to those who frankly have not worked for it, doesn’t make anyone a bigot. I’m Hispanic, so as defined by political correctness I am not able to be a bigot. I do not want socialized medicine, specifically, I do not want government mandating the medical sphere, government, tampering with research, government allocating access, nor gov’t rationing care. I also believe If I earn a good job because I work hard and get good benefits I should see a Doctor immediately, not in 2-6 months as is common in Canada, Germany, Holland. Say no to Obamacare, and yes to free market and traditional style medical programs. Look people, the only reason Europe has socialized medicine is because the USA subsidizes their gov’t expenditures by being their military protectors. Had any of they countrys not had this economic distortion and had to supply their own military, they would not be able to have socialized medicine, Who will subsidize the US? It is an unsustainable concept. Deanbob, i do not want obamacare because you think I’m a bigot: i do not want it because it is illogical, unsustainable, and i will not be held at the throat by my gov’t!

Fear and confusion are a terrible thing to waste. Check it out even the Republicans admit that health care is draining the national treasure, and mut be overhauled. And they already went on record that their primary goal is to cause President Obama his Waterloo by obstructing this legislation. Not because we do not need but so they can retain power.
And like Gerbals the Joe Six packs of the world are willing to fall off a cliff just because misplaced anger and bias. The president is not the enemy here folks and he did not create Watergate, sign off on Enron, Cause the mortgage meltdown you did Fellow Americans by electing money crazed idiots to lead us into Iraq an ignore Afganistan, on the premise the populism is good government. If that is case then Rush Limbaugh an admitted entertainer and should be President and Glen Beck should his VP. How many of your fellow Americans have to die and lose their health care or be denied services for you guys to get it.

Danny back at you: How many Americans must be robbed of their hard work and efforts just to give the democrat party a tool to entice the ignorant masses to keep them in power? Healthcare is less about helping our fellow americans and more about giving the socialists a carrot using the money of workers to support about 11% of the population which is what is needed to asure a political majority in congress. Just because something exist, which gov’t can control doesn’t mean it should be converted into a “public good”. Danny, watch the movie Idocracy sometime and tell me that this is not the path the US is headed towards.
