Obama has suddenly realized Americans are angry with Washington.
He spent his whole first year destroying the one thing that got him elected–that he was different, and would change the way Washington works.
Many broken promises like no lobbyist, transparency, bring allsoldiers home from Iraq, close Gitmo, veto earmarks, stop no-bid contracts.
Missed deadlines that made him look foolish–Gitmo, DADT, Iran sanctions, Health Care.
End dark of night deals with special interest–so he made sweetheat backdoor deals with Phma, unions, health insurance industry.
So now he pretends to be above all that, a Washington outsider still.
Obama got pretty far before Americans finally woke up. But his game is over.
Axelrod, Gibbs, Jarrett, Emanuel
How long did Obama think he could last with the Chicago political cesspool surrounding him, before even his own party walked away in disgust?
Obama and his inner circle care about one thing–power.
The MSM went along like little lapdogs giving them even more power, instead of being our watchdogs.
Newsflash to the Obama bubble and the MSM.
You work for us.

keep that nose up in the air when you speak down to us peons mr obama. its so appealing to be talked down to by an elite. enjoy that record snowfall in d.c. must be that darn global warming again
Why aren’t you folks in the media telling the public more specifically about the reasons behind why the banking system is still at huge risk instead of peddling what Washington spin doctors are saying about the economy?
A small group of US banks still sit at a gambling table each month and place bets (derivatives) with one another on which way things like interest rates will go.
They play the game using our deposits and the bail out tax money given to them by our government officials. The betting game they play isn’t reviewed for safety with a clearing house like it is with the stock or options markets. No one is checking on the players to see if they can actually pay off their bets if they lose. And the game isn’t regulated by anyone. It’s a private game where the banks use our money as collateral to get loans that are many times the money we have on deposit with them. Since it’s a private game there are no rules that dictate how much they can borrow against our deposits, unlike the rules they impose on us when we want to borrow from them. Then, they take our money and the loans they obtain with our money to gamble with other banks involved in the high stakes, private gambling game. Since no government agency gets to see the game (it’s not a regulated market) and no industry oversight exists (no clearing house) anything goes. Some estimates put the pot in this game at $ 180 plus trillion in the US and around $ 600 trillion world wide. These are amounts that stagger the imagination and most certainly are outside of the financial capabilities of any government from a bail out perspective.
If anyone of the players were to welch (default) on their bet with the other players in the game there would be a domino effect of defaults between all the players. As they all play with borrowed funds and no player can actually cover their bets if they lose more than they win. So one has to wonder if they were to fail and the price tag was so high that no government could bail them out, then how safe is our money that’s deposited with them? Why aren’t depositors in those banks being told that the banks are gambling with their money? Are there really enough funds in the FDIC to refund every depositor all of their money if all these guys failed at once? Why aren’t you guys in the media putting pressure on Congress and the President to get these banks out of the gambling game they played before the crisis and continue to play to this day? And why aren’t you reporting on this? Naming names? Showing us how many trillions these guys are each betting every month? Why aren’t you providing us with the truth? Isn’t that your job?
Isn’t that more important than the dribble you are publishing about which politician says what about the other one. They are all just pandering to emotions of their camps instead of solving real problems. Why can’t you stay focused on the issues instead of their dribble.

I love how the right wing is just flat out making up “promises” now. Obama did not promise to veto earmarks, McCain did. Obama did not promises to bring all soldiers home from Iraq, he said “my first day in office, I would give the military a new mission: ending this war” (and he unequivocally did). His is the most transparent Whitehouse in decades, from releasing visitor logs to rescinding Bush’s executive order withholding historical records from release to drastically reducing the number of people allowed to classify information. He has indeed broken promises, such as no lobbyist, and yet still has come closer to keeping them than any administration for a generation. Maybe if the right could focus on the promises he actually made and failed to deliver on rather than lying and making up promises he never actually made there could be a discussion about his real record. For example, he didn’t close Guantanamo. Did he at least try to?

Obama’s solution to America’s problems.
Is it any wonder 3 out of 4 Americans are angry with the government?
Republicans
also spent too much.
But unlike Obama, they learned a lesson from Scott Brown. They are now listening to us, and know the consequences if they don’t listen.
What didObama learn from MA?
He needs to spend more money, increase taxes, just needs to talk more because we are too stupid to understand his brilliance.
Obama is losing Independents.
They put him in the White House and to right a wrong, they will take him out.
I doubt Independents are apart of the 30% that thinks America is on the right track.
Not a part of the Americans so enslaved by handouts that they vote Democrat just to survive.
Obama is in trouble and he knows it.
He must move to the middle to get independents, taking for granted that his base has nowhere else to go, and will stand by him.
Obama is a weak leader with constantly shifting priciples–pretty soon only the enslaved will support him, but only becausethey have to.
jhw=Obama? just sayin! Do you really have nothing better to do than sit on this site and defend Obama till your blue in the face? This goes way beyond personal for you and I can’t figure out why.

I was gone most of last week, I’ll be gone for all of Lent. But yeah, at the moment I have nothing better to do. And I only defend Obama when he is attacked with lies or poor reasoning. I’ve donated money to groups that have active lawsuits against the administration (such a lawsuit was an important prod to getting the Whitehouse visitor records opened to the public for the first time) and have no trouble bringing reasonable criticisms against the administration (it was sloppy that the high value interrogation unit wasn’t fully set up until just last week). But overall, I’m pleased with the Obama administration. A welcome return to competence and expertise in the mold of Bush Sr’s administration so far.
Why do the Democrats always want to self destruct.. this was the golden opportunity.. weird how things unraveled.. I blame congress and the senate.. not Obama.. they didn’t follow his lead.. it was all laid out.. ahead of them.
Obama is losing Independents
He’s losing Democrats too.

I just don’t think DC will ever understand what is going on in the rest of the country….The independants(my party) are lost to the democratic party. The arrogant power grab is exposed mostly because the MSM is finally beginning to cover some of the outragious behavior of our elected officials.
Obama has proved to be unworthy of the office. He is not smart enough, courageous enough or experienced enough to run our Country. Heck, I doubt he could run the corner dry cleaner. But the worst thing is he is not honest. People don’t like being lied to and he has done that over and over, often contradicting himself several times in one day or one week….on TV!! I don’t think he will “win back” these voters, American doesn’t like liars. He’s done.
So, we just have to clean out congress and the house and put some reasonable people in the seats.
This corrupt administration has no problem governing “against” the will of the people of America. The entire 2008 campaign was based on lies. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and other liberals made promises and pledges they did not keep. Now, Obama is campaigning for 2010 and 2012! Americans are fed up with HCR and Cap and Trade. We want them to create jobs and reduce debt, among other things. Obama and the liberals in Congress plan to cram this down our throats, regardless of what it takes.

Likewise. But I suppose we’ll have to get closer to november before y’all begin to acknowledge what is apparent. Obama didn’t sit down with republicans last week because he wanted to. He’s not trying to get them to bite on the health care thing because he wants to. It is no accident that Obama blames that health care thing on congress. He’s killing them and they’re beginning to watch him.
That’s reality.
