ABC News’ Yunji de Nies Reports:

The First Lady's Office tells ABC News Michelle Obama will appear on Mike Huckabee's show on the Fox News Channel this weekend, to discuss her anti-childhood obesity campaign Let’s Move.  The First Lady has several events this week on the issue, including a visit to Philadelphia to speak about the availability –and often lack thereof – of healthy food in some communities, which the White House calls "food deserts."  On Saturday, she’ll address the National Governors' Association meeting on how state governments can get involved.

The former Republican presidential candidate has waged his own, very public, battle of the bulge, losing more than 100 pounds as then-governor of Arkansas.  He went on to write a book chronicling his experience, entitled "Quit Digging Your Grave With a Knife and Fork."

Huckabee told U.S. News and World Report’s “Washington Whispers” blog that he commends the First Lady’s efforts, saying "It is not a left/right, liberal/conservative, Democrat/Republican issue. This is an issue that falls beyond what I call the 'horizontal' issues of left and right and rises to the 'vertical' level of up or down."
