President Clinton’s Close Friend Terry McAuliffe: “I Said a Bunch of Prayers”
When Terry McAuliffe first heard that President Clinton had been taken to the hospital, he was
Heartsick: “Your heart drops,” he told me on GMA, “I said a bunch of prayers immediately.”
But soon after the procedure McAuliffe spoke to the President’s aide Doug Band who assured him the Clinton was in excellent condition, “Literally they were taking him into the room, hitting the double doors they open, he was on a conference call” about aid to Haiti.
And right after the procedure, some worried the ordeal may slow the former president down; not McAuliffe “Not going to happen. If anything this will get President Clinton more energized… To him, sleeping is taking time away from something he could be doing to help somebody.”
The procedure President Clinton underwent is not uncommon for patients who have had bypass surgery like he did in 2004. And McAuliffe, along with Clinton’s doctors say it has nothing to do with an unhealthy lifestyle. “It’s no fun to go out to dinner with him…It’s steamed fish and grilled vegetables…He’s very careful about what he eats.”

My prayers are with Mr. Clinton also. May he get well soon, and continue to have a long healthy life.
Side note: How many presidents do we have? I notice whenever a story is done on a former president, he is usually referred to as the President. The proper vernacular is Former President. We only have one President in office at a time. Robin seems to be the only one who got it right.

What a phoney Terry McAuliffe is…he has to be “the saint”..the center of attention” using Bill Clinton’s heart problems..by saying “he said alot of prayers” …right..what a jerk. He was a jerk as the DNC Chairman (whichis why he was fired as DNC Chairman after the Dems won in 2006 and 2008). Go back under your rock Terry McAuliffee..I am going to say alot of prayers that it happens……

I’d never wish illness or pain on another person–okay, so there’s a couple of people out there…but certainly not on former Presidents. They did their time–we owe them. That said, McCauliffe’s blithering is a not so suttle way of drumming up any support he can for an unpopular agenda. Call me cynical–but calling focus on this incident spells out everything that is wrong with Healthcare according to the Democrats. Rich people have it–no one else can afford it. The Helathcare bill still sucks–go back to the drawing board instead of bemoaning what no medical professional would call this “near miss” for former Pres. Clinton.

Who does he pray to? He believes in Evolution doesn’t he? Why a bunch of prayers? Does this idiot have a god that doesn’t listen?

Everybody has a god that doesn’t listen. Have you not heard of the tsunami that killed over 200,000 people or the earthquake in Haiti that killed about the same number? Do you really think none of those people were praying, or what, exactly?

My prayers are with you and your family.Hopefully you will not need this procedure again for a few years. Keep up the exercise, healthy eating, and take time to enjoy the beauty around you.
