Keep playing that old, DISPROVEN canard about our VP being nothing but a gaffe-machine. At least it probably amuses you. But no one else is listening — we’re just grateful that we have an intelligent, competent, honest VP, someone with integrity and genuine humanity in his makeup. It’s quite a change, you have to admit. I’d far rather have someone make an occasional (really pretty rare) slip while telling the truth than be precise and articulate as they tell flat-out lies right to our face.

From the AP, Joe Biden’s idiot move of the week:
—Vice President Joe Biden asked for God’s BLESSING FOR THE LATE MOTHER of Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen during a White House celebration of St. Patrick’s Day — except the ELDERLY LADY IS VERY MUCH ALIVE.
“God rest her soul,” Biden said Wednesday night as he introduced Cowen and President Barack Obama. He quickly caught himself and noted that it’s Cowen’s father who is no longer living. Of the prime minister’s mother, Biden said, “God bless her soul.”
Biden then cited the Irish proverb that “a silent mouth is sweet to hear” and yielded the podium to the president.—

So you’re saying you like Biden better than Obama?
No, Biden screws up all the time, and he doesn’t tell the truth all that much. You must be saying you like Bush more than Obama. Me, too.

Do we need to hear what he does? Who
cares? With all that is facing this
country, we don’t have to have the
main blogs commenting on this dolt.

Did you happen to see the actual tape? He caught himself immediately, apologized and noted that it wsa Cowen's father – not his mother – who had recently passed away, graciously mocked himself for the mistake, and went ahead with the introduction. Yep, shocking – utterly shocking. Yawn.

Biden is comedy gold, but few comics choose to mine his remarks. He drops at least one stupid comment like this EVERY week!
