Gollywiggle, you're just wrong.
The Republicans came to the table just to pretend they were for Health Care Reform. They had many opportunities to
add input. And many of their idea were incorporated. Then they walked away at every turn. The minority party is never able to call the shots, but they did for almost a year. If you don't play, you can't complain about the outcome.
Here is a list of what you got...
Movement on Tort Reform,
Buying policies across state lines..
NO PUBLIC OPTION...feel better now?

"Unfortunately, the people who are going to be hurt most by the health care bill are those who have Medicare Advantage insurance. "
Yeah, they may have to give up their gym memberships. That's the difference between Medicare and Medicare Advantage, and the taxpayers pay 114% more so that some seniors get to feel "special."

Yes the Democrats won the drive for healthcare reform, but not without paying an unacceptable price. The transparency promised was compromised. The bipartisanship promised was thrown out with a refusal to negotiate by the incumbent majority. Votes within the "ruling" party were bought and sold. Earmark legislation was signed by our president after he had sworn to veto any earmark legislation that crossed his desk. The will of the majority of the people was denied in the interest of gaining political capital. Time will tell but it's my opinion that the whole thing about denying the will of the people will cost the party far more than it gained and that history will not paint the performance of this administration in a good light.

Unfortunately, the people who are going to be hurt most by the health care bill are those who have Medicare Advantage insurance. Their premiums are going to skyrocket and benefits will be cut drastically. But, then again, Mr Obama doesn't really care about the aged middle class anyway. They don’t have that many votes.
