I wish Harry’s wife and daughter a speedy recovery.
But it’s time for Harry to retire and take care of them.
The urgency of passing OCare has nothing to do with regular everyday people. It’s about saving Obama’s butt.
And if Obama fails, so do Reid and Pelosi.
Time to drain the swamp.

Maybe his wife/daughter’s brush with death will wake Harry up as to what is important in life.
Do these old as dirt Congressmen have a life outside of politics or is that their whole life?
When they are on their death bed i bet they will be praying for more time with family not Washington.

Healthcare? I am sorry for someone being injured but the Senators healthcare is paid for by taxpayers. They get free healthcare, dental and rx. Politicians use stories involving peoples problems to peddle fear. I know how expensive health insurance is, how necessary it is and after being laid off the price jumped. But I do not seeing forced into something that is not equal to what Congress enjoys for FREE. I have read about this and it looks second rate to me. Pre-existing is a big concern. What I believe is Medicare should be fixed and opened to any one who wants it. It has no pre-existing problems and from what I have read and heard from people in healthcare IT CAN BE FIXED a lot cheaper than starting a new program. The problem is it will actually cause insurance companies to redo their cost because Medicare is not there to make a profit. It is there to serve people who pay for it. It is a system already in place and put under the laws other carriers are under it will support itself. Tax dollars will not have to be spent on healthcare but POLITICIANS will lose their campaign funds for insurance companies.

I hope for a quick recovery for Harry’s family. I totally disagree with this new healthcare program. It will make people pay the large insurance companies giving them a larger profit than they now have. Any one who can think knows they will charge you more than it costs them, ALOT MORE. Look at their Medicare Supplemental policies. They pay 20% of the cost and charge you more than Medicare who pays 80% of the cost. Why aren’t their premiums 20% of the cost of Medicare. Let’s go 30% because they should make some profit.

Well hope Senator Reid’s family recovers and all is well.

I think they way you represented Mr. Ried’s family stuation and then dove tailed into the Health Care was not fair. Mr. Ried’s family will never not have health care coverage. Mr. Reid has better health care for himself and family because he is a congressman.
Once again, if congress had to live by the rules the bring down on all of us we would all be better off.
I know you want Health Care Reform, I think most Americans dotoo. But try and be somewhat fair about how you represent it with your stories.
This morning was not a good example of balanced journalism. Unless that is not a factor anymore.

I hope they recover 100%… but leave it to Reid and the ObamaBots at ABC to make this an issue of healthcare reform.. IF Reid is not happy with the care his wife and daughter are receiving….Take them to CUBA.. I hear it’s great there
Obama VS AMerica

Victims of auto accidents have injuries paid for by the other drivers auto insurance (bodily injury liability), not by their own health insurance. (And if the driver doesnt have auto insurance, then the victims own Uninsured Motorist auto insurance provision kicks in)
Is it any wonder that the American people are falling for Obama’s insurance scam? The media paints a false picture of what health insurance does and doesn’t cover.

This government takeover of healthcare sucks, as does this administration. The proof is in the pudding that the govrnment cannot do anything right. As the other post stated, drain the swamp of the slime.

Raven, this bill is not a ‘government takeover’ of health care.
It is simply protecting consumers from the worst of the insurance company’s tricks to increase their profits at the expense of folk’s health and finances.
We’ve all seen what happens when the government doesn’t regulate by the recent banking crisis. We almost had a depression thanks to little regulation of banks.
Regulation isn’t a dirty word. It is necessary to protect us all from the greediest among us.
Dan, I don’t know what kind of Medicare supplemental you have, but my mother-in-law’s worked just fine on her recent 5 day hospital visit. The only thing she has had to pay for is a share of the ambulance bill.

I love all the talk about free health care. So the Doctors, the nurses, the hospitals and all the employees just do not get paid for giving this free care?
If they get paid, then it is not free; someone is paying for it.
So how dare any politican call this care free!
Also, when they speak of lower premiums for people by using subsidies, how is this actually lower cost? Your just allowing someone else to pay for some of it. The premium is not any lower, your just making it someone else pay some of it!
