Obama, “If $4 gasoline is enough incentive to lift the moratorium on offshore drilling, then $10-a-gallon gasoline will inspire even more drastic consequences. We will drill for every drop of oil, we will dig up every ounce of coal, we will sacrifice every environmental regulation, because we just can’t take the heat. And then we’ll fry.”
Obama’s not willing to lift the ban an $4 a gallon or $10 a gallon but boy he’ll jump on the chance to lift it a $2.70 a gallon.
Makes sense to me. /sarc

Obama speaking of McCain in relation to Bush policy, “He wants to open our coastlines to drilling – a proposal that his own top economic advisor admitted won’t provide any short-term relief at the pump. It’s a proposal that George Bush’s Administration says will not provide a drop of oil – not a single drop – for at least ten years. And by the time the drilling is fully underway in twenty years, our own Department of Energy says that the effect on gas prices will be insignificant.”
“It would merely prolong the failed energy policies we have seen from Washington for thirty years,”.
YES HE DID! Get your facts straight before you start lecturing me about what Obama did or didn’t do.
Why is it worthy of Obama’s consideration now being gas prices are about a buck fifty less now?

Huh? Palin criticized this move.
Also how come Palin has an interview show in which she does not conduct any of the interviews?
Was she just not bright enough to ask questions?
Was the simple interaction of question asked then answered too tough compared to her preferred method of 1 sided conversation?

This President has an extreme credibility problem. He bashed President Bush at every turn when it came to drilling and campaigned against McCain and Palin when they recommended it yet turns around a little over a year later and does what he preached against.
This is just one of at least 5 lies that I count off the top of my head that he has told.
When Americans start holding politicians accountable for what they said on the campaign trail to what they do in office then and only then will this country heal the divided wounds.
We use to have a media that would assist us in the task of holding politicians accountable but since they have not appeared interested in that task, only taking sides, it looks as though Americans are on their own.

Obama was right about being transparent: his scheming tactics are obvious. First, before being elected, interrupt progress and smear the opposition party for an economic collapse so the voters can place him in charge. Then implement all the opposition party’s ideas to save the day. Pretty transparent to me.

Oh, I see the Democrats’ tactic: while the opposing party is in office, fight against oil drilling, logging, commercial fishing, farming and all other progress until the economy collapses. Then they can blame the sitting opposing party’s administration for the collapse, take over and save the day by implementing all the ideas their opposing party wanted in the first place. How clever.
