Bill Clinton Told to Drop 15 Lbs for Chelsea’s Wedding
EmailABC News' Teddy Davis and Gregory Simmons report: Former President Bill Clinton has been told to drop 15 lbs before his daughter's wedding and he says that he is half way there.
"She doesn't think I'm in shape," Clinton said on Wednesday, referring to his daughter, Chelsea. "You know she told me the other day she said, ‘Dad the only thing you gotta do is walk me down the aisle and you gotta look good.’ So I said ‘Well, what's your definition?’ And she said: ‘Oh, about 15 pounds.’ So I'm about halfway home."
Clinton made his remarks to CBS' Bob Schieffer while participating in the Pete Peterson Foundation's Fiscal Summit. The all-day conference, which focused on reducing the nation's long-term budget deficit, took place at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.
Clinton's comments were prompted by Schieffer asking if he was ready to handle the task of giving away his daughter this summer. Clinton seemed genuinely surprised by the question which came at the end of a series of queries on economic issues.
Before discussing the weight-loss goal, Clinton noted that Chelsea is his only child.
"I don't know," said Clinton when asked if he was prepared to give away his daughter. "You know, I told her when she was a little girl that it would suit me if she didn't move out until she was 25 and didn't get married until she was 35."
Clinton went on to praise his daughter's fiancee, Marc Mezvinsky.
"I'm really fortunate," said Clinton. "I really like my future son in law a lot and I admire him a great deal. He’s a fine human being so Hillary and I are delighted."
Chelsea and Mezvinsky sent out an e-mail on Nov. 27, saying: "We're sorry for the mass e-mail but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn't get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc."
The summer wedding is expected to take place on Martha's Vineyard.

Note to keredte… Thank goodness the Arizona illegal immigrant law article has been replaced with this and other stories. Tired of wondering how the illegals don’t understand the term ‘illegal’ is a crime in the USA!

I think he’s let a few of his previously lost pounds slide back on in the last year or so. I’m sure his daughter is also hoping to make him take better care of himself, too!

you know it was not long ago bill suffered a heart attack. he was not a well man for so long afterwards.he was so thin,he looked like the walking dead.but please chelsea,you just do not see what the restof us see’s , your father looks great. did you not think it could have hurt his feelings.anyway get off bills rear. he looks great to us.i noticed you are not perfect either
