ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: With President Obama pressing to pass financial regulatory reform this spring, the Democratic National Committee is playing some early offense, with a new TV ad warning against the consequences of inaction. “It could all happen again… if we don’t pass President Obama’s plan to reform Wall Street,” the ad states. “We want our banks to succeed, but when they make bad decisions. Families shouldn’t have to pay the price. Tell Congress we can’t afford another financial crisis.” The ad, to air starting tomorrow on Washington broadcast stations and on national cable, is designed to pressure Republicans to support financial regulatory reform. The White House is pressing Congress to finish work on a bill by Memorial Day, though many Democrats don’t think that’s a realistic deadline.
