ABC News’ Dean Norland reports:

Eric Massa is gone from Congress, but the investigations live on.

The House Ethics committee announced today that it will establish an investigative subcommittee to conduct “a full and complete inquiry” into whether any House rules were violated in allegations involving former Rep. Eric Massa, D-N.Y.

Republicans have been pressuring for an investigation to determine if there was a cover up by the Democratic leadership of Massa’s conduct.

As a former House member, Massa is beyond the jurisdiction of the ethics panel, but current members and staffers are within the committee’s reach.
