Most of the people I talk to realize that Chicago needs someone who savvy enough to negotiate multi-million and billion $ deals and who can relate to business people who will keep our city thriving. We do not want to end up like less fortunate cities such as Detroit. Our leader needs to have vision and the knowledge on capital growth. Rahm has done it personally and politically and can do it for Chicago. He is our best choice.

Jack: You are so right…people have short memories or are lying. This mess is Bush’s mess and Obama is trying to straighten it out. Instead, he is being blamed for this mess. Thanks to the talk show hosts, many belive these jerks rather than thinking for themselves and remembering what went down. It was Bush who called for the first bailout…a fact no one seems to talk about. Obama and Mc Cain were not in favor of it if you remember. Now everything is his fault. The republican strategy is say it often enough and people will believe it. Not all people. They try to hide the fact that Bush started with a surplus and left with 1.3 trillion deficit and no productive meansures i.e. social security, health care, education, loss of respect with other countries, bank failures, and one other thing… Obama is handling the war in Afghanistan more aggressively than Bush did. He just sent soldiers there and forgot about them. It took him two years to respond to requests for more equipment and when he did…it was defective. Funny how these things slip some people’s minds. And by the way, it has been said by some in the know that Bush was the biggest spender of all presidents including Obama.

This is a perfect example how things get taken out of context. He was asked if he did not have this job what would he like to do. He thought a minute and said if the mayor decides to retire,and I hope he doesn’t, I would like to to be mayor. There is a difference in how people are hearing it as “He wants mayors job” sounds like he wants it now. He preceeded it with “if he retired”. there is a difference here with what he said and how it is being transmitted to all.
