The Presidential Planner
From Sunlen Miller
President Obama will hit the road for the second straight day and will travel to Charlotte, N.C., this morning.
On the same day as the monthly employment figures are released, Mr. Obama will deliver remarks and then hold a conversation on jobs and the economy with workers at Charlotte, North Carolina-based Celgard, Inc.
“The President will use the visit to the advanced battery technology manufacturer, which is expanding its operation through a Recovery Act grant, to highlight the jobs that are being created through important investments in the clean energy sector,” a White House official said, adding that the company should serve as an example of economic progress made since he took office.
Celgard won a $49.2 million Recovery Act advanced battery grant award last year to expand its capacity to produce separators for lithium-ion batteries – both through an expansion of its Charlotte facility and construction of a new plant in Concord, N.C.
The president is anticipated to also urge Congress to act on additional job creation proposals within his remarks.
The president will return to Washington, D.C., in the afternoon.

I hope Obama continues his comedy tour.
The more he talks the more he sinks in the polls.

It’s not that good a thing to be out of touch with reality – the President is at 50% approval in Gallup today. Right where he’s been for months now.

To get in touch with reality I went to the C.B.S. news poll and Obamas approval rating for April is 44% .

Earl for the President there has been no “the more he talks the more he sinks in the polls”.
Gallup has the President at 50% today.
The Real Clear Politics poll of polls has the President at 47.8%.
Both these figures have the President right where he’s been for months now.

p.s. – earl – reality is President Reagan falling to 35% during his first term – also in a difficult economy.

Seems even on this blog his approval rating went down 3% in just a couple of posts from 50% to 47% , after the EPA becomes the law makeing branch of the government next week they will fall even more.
