From Sunlen Miller:
President Obama and Vice President Biden this morning are scheduled to meet with the bipartisan leaders of the Senate and the bipartisan leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee in the Oval Office to discuss the Supreme Court vacancy left by the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the president will seek their advice on "process, procedure, on names that they're interested in," as well as "getting this done well before the Senate leaves in August."
Afterwards, the president is scheduled to attend a reception for G-20 labor ministers in the Diplomatic Reception Room.
The president and the vice president are also expected to meet behind closed doors with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in the Oval Office and then separately with Treasury Secretary Geithner and Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius in the Oval Office.
In the afternoon, the president and the first lady are scheduled to host members of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams at the White House to congratulate them on their performance during the Vancouver Winter Games.
