This morning, President Obama will speak at a naturalization ceremony for active duty service members in the Rose Garden. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will deliver the oath of allegiance.
President Obama is expected to present the Outstanding American by Choice recognition.
In the afternoon, the president and the first lady will travel to Asheville, North Carolina, for a two-day get-away, where they will remain until Sunday.
Late Sunday morning, the president will fly from Asheville to West Virginia where he will speak at a memorial service for the miners who lost their lives earlier this month.
He will return to Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening.
