First Lady Michelle Obama’s First Tweet
ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: Saturday night at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, First Lady Michelle Obama ventured into unfamiliar territory: the twitterverse. Prompted by CNN’s Ed Henry, Mrs. Obama sent her first tweet in the middle of the dinner from @edhenrycnn’s account."from flotus: 'here at dinner this is officially my first Tweet. i am looking forward to some good laughs from the potus and jay,” read the message, referring to both her husband and comedian Jay Leno’s remarks which followed shortly after. After the dinner Henry blogged about not only coercing the First Lady, and White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, but the President himself into allowing the tweet."A laughing Gibbs came over and advised the first lady it would be a harmless exercise, but she was skeptical until the commander in chief finally weigh in,” Henry writes, “The first lady explained her dilemma, but the president waved his hand as if to say ‘no big deal’ and told her to go for it.”Apparently the first lady – a blackberry user herself – was not familiar with the iPhone, as she asked “How do you type on this?”In January President Obama sent the first tweet himself on the Red Cross’ twitter account, while at a Red Cross mission control center for Haiti.”President Obama and the First Lady are here visiting our disaster operation center right now,” read the president’s tweet, which he hit “enter” for the first time to send out to the twitterverse.-Sunlen Miller

Good laughs from Jay, even though he didn’t go over too well with the Commies, Socialists and assorted fruits and nuts in the DemocRAT party.

Is “weigh in” Mr. Henry’s grammatical error, or Ms. Miller’s typo? (It should be “weighed in.”) No doubt whose poor grammar it is in the following: “…the president’s tweet, which he hit “enter” for the first time…” How about, “…as he hit “enter” for the first time to send a message to the twitterverse.”

Fox News is reporting that a recent confidential report leaked by the FBI reveals that Nero only fiddled because the Rome-burners were well-organized and may have fired a bullet or two. The source for their report: The Washington Times.
