ABC News’ Karen Travers reports: First Lady Michelle Obama was the president’s No. 1 cheerleader today in remarks to the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum. Speaking to an audience of about 300 women in Washington, Mrs. Obama went through a laundry list of the things she said her husband promised to do during the campaign and has already accomplished in just 15 months, including getting the economy back on track, reforming health care, improving education, ending the war in Iraq and improving America’s standing on the world stage. Of course the president has not closed the book on any of those issues, but the First Lady touted the progress that has been made so far. “We’ve achieved all this just in the first 15 months,” she said. “Imagine what we can do in the next three years.” While she did not mention the new jobs report that was released today, Mrs. Obama did say, “Our economy is growing again, not shrinking.”  The First Lady did not get into any specifics on politics – she did not endorse any candidates or announce her travel schedule for the upcoming midterm campaign season. She did emphasize that the women in the room were critical to her husband’s victory in November 2008 and they need to keep working to bring the Obama Administration’s agenda to fruition.
