They may pay taxes but….they get a lot more from welfare, free medical, food stamp,wic etc…..my Dr. went out of business because he was not being paid to deliver their babies. What is going to happen when a lot more people lose their jobs, where are the people on welfare and that is here illegally going to get their money from then, what is the government going to do then?

For those saying that illegals don’t pay any taxes, how do you know that? Where’s your proof? I live in Washington state where agriculture is our HUGE export and obviously, the ones working the fields and orchards are usually illegal immigrants. Having lived with a family of illegal immigrants for the majority of my life I have witness them filing and sending in their taxes. And it’s not just this one family, several of the illegal families come to us to help them do their taxes or to refer them to other resources that will do the same.

My statement about not paying taxes was correct. First of all, at $8.50/hr, the typical person will get all state and federal taxes back at the end of the year. Second, employers pay workmans comp insurance, not the employee.
The point being raised was that earlier statements that illegal immigrants are paying taxes and putting money into the economy is a falsehood if they are making those wages. Also, those same people are using services designed for our own lower income services in the form of food stamps and medical care. They are using charity as a form of income to support themselves and their families.

Working for minimum wage is a form a taxation no matter where you come from and no matter if you don’t pay directly to the IRS. Minimum wage workers provide you with services and products that many people couldn’t afford otherwise. The cheapest food on the planet… picked for your table by people working for impoverishing wages. That’s the real welfare system at work in the US. They subsidize YOUR welfare by being paid less. I’ve never met am immigrant, documented or otherwise, that wasn’t busting their buns to take care of themselves and their families.

Please don’t pull the “they work dirty cheap and don’t make enough to pay taxes” crap.
Until a few month ago… I was making 8.50 an hour and still had to pay fed., state, Medicare, Workers comp, Sui and other taxes. And if I wanted insurance it would cost me 180.00 a month.. only working 24 hrs a week didn’t afford me the “perk” of getting insurance.
The contractor replacing a fence, asked me if I would “give” the worker 90.00 for the days work because he “deserved” it. I told him “NO”. You hired the guy, you can pay him out of your profit. I wasn’t make 90.00 a day…and I sure as hell wasn’t paying for someone to not pay taxes.
Being born here is a blessing. But it comes at price. We support anyone who feels the U.S. owes them. People come here with big dreams and work hard to make them come true. Then then are those who come here with a handout… take, take, take and never give back. They want a say – and speak against the U.S. for not giving more.
If the U.S. is such a horrible place -Go back to where you came from and make it a better place. Stop tearing down this coutry.

They think that the US is nothing with out them they think they are the main support of the US becasue they will work for lower wages.I know for a fact they are money hungry too because I work with over 100 of them every day they are never happy with their wage always wanting more just like the people of the USA which is fine but our government is bending over backwards to give them everything when we have families right here in our own neighborhoods that can’t make their bills or pay for medical or buy grocerys…but out Democratic Government feel they should give the USE to all illegal immirgants after all they get businesses and homes at our expense of our taxes and hard work I am not saying there are not lazy us citizens because I have seen many low life criminals and drug dealers and prostitutes that are also living off of our government and we evern put fathers and mother in jail for not paying child support or taxes, but here you have proof they have flood the US and we talk tuff like we will deport them then a little girl speaks and Michelle is personally handleing her mother legallization to the US…next thing you know all the little girls and boys of illegalls will be writing to Michelle and then they all will be legal so why do we fine the employers who are damed if they hire them and damed if they done….I THINK THEY ALL NEED TO GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY IF THEY ARE NOT HERE LEGALLY…AND THE CHILDREN BORN HERE THEY SHOULD BE SENT BACK TOO BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT IS WHY THEY WERE BORN TO GETR MOM & DAD CITIZENSHIP IN THE USA….NO WONDER THE ECONOMY SUCKS….PUT A REPUBLICAN BACK IN OFFICE WE WERE SAFER

We have American citizens in prison for tax evasion in our own country. We have others jailed for identity theft. And yet, there are those that argue we should not prosecute illegal immigranst for doing the same thing? These people have committed a crime we do not forgive of our own citizens and yet we are going to let them get away with it? And then we reward them by alowing them to stay?
How can anybody even begin to think this is justifiable?

The rules were made for a reason. My husband also had to go for a criminal background check. Also a complete physical including a lung x-ray. Imagine what diseases are being reestablished when people sneak in over the border not to mention what crimes might have been committed. The process is not that hard to do. Just it is fair to every immigrant to do it the legal way. No looking over one’s shoulder unless a person sneaks in. Like I said before: The rules were made for a reason.
