Official: Gen. Clapper a Leading Candidate to Replace Blair
EmailA government official tells ABC News that Air Force Lt. Gen. James Clapper (ret) is a leading candidate to replace ousted Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair.
Clapper is currently Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, serving in that role since 2007. He has also served as Blair's principal advisor on defense intelligence matters. He formerly headed the Defense Intelligence Agency.
Others who have been considered for the job include former Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., and deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, source tell ABC News.

Why didn’t he pick Clapper in the first place?Blair had no real intelligence experience at the time of his selection-an unfortunate but common trait in this administration.It was like the Panetta appointment-what ever happened to him?

If Gen. Clapper accepts this post… well he deserves the consequences… you cannot trust a Democrat… even if you are one…

Clapper certainly has the credentials. I read his biography. Still I have to cringe’ knowing he is a “Dem.” Once a gain Obama wants us to think that he is “spot on” wanting to defend and protect America. Sorry, but I’m not in the mood for games. We’ve Oil globs sprouting up all the coast lines of four states and headed my way! We’ve got bands of terrorists posing as humanitarians w/ aid for Palenstine, except for one think… they want to drive right up to the Gaza port and unload their IDFs and the cry. but we didn’t know??? lmao. It’s all about COMPLIANCE.!! If these saintly angels of mercy want to help their band of brothers it would help if they would leave trickery and the thuggery and arsenal of tricks such knives, chain. hammers and guns at home!! YA THINK?
