Meanwhile, back in documented reality, the Coast Guard has been onsite and working the oil spill since it happened (go ahead and look up the Coast Guard talking about preparing for clean up operations in articles from April 22nd – although at that time the failure of the blow out preventer and full magnitude of the spill was not known).

Obama has done more harm to this country than all the inflicted wars combined.

All I know is if this was Bush, there would be impeachment hearings by now. And I think Ken Salazar is very incompetent. Yeah, let the feds run our healthcare system.

I would think that BP could use a form of mud that expands in volume after a delayed contact with the wet oil in the drill hole. I’m thinking of something like a sponge pushed through a tube and expanding as it soaks up the water. Try to pull that sponge out when it is wet. Maybe there is a slurry or epoxy that you pump in agent A and then agent B to cause them to harden. Instead of golf balls, I would throw bowling balls with spikes and possibly some minor explosives. How about a submarine lauching one of those buster bunker bombs into the hole. Let’s think outside the box and get it done!

Where is the “chewed me out” part? Where is the detailed part where Obama chewed out the parish president? It seems to me this is just another example of the media trying to hype controversy where there is none. Rather interesting that Obama bused in beach workers for his oil spill photo op yesterday. They left as soon as he left. Since the secret service won’t let someone near the president unless certain things are done in advance, it’s clear the White House was well aware of what was going on.

Well, just before the rig explosion and subsequent oil leak, Obama was banging the war drums on drilling offshore. Remember that one? The media certainly doesn’t. Then while Obama was banging those war drums, golfing, criticizing Arizona, golfing again, criticizing Cambridge police officers, golfing, calling America an ‘arrogant nation’, golfing some more, criticizing iPod, golfing and vacationing, criticizing the internet and bloggers, golfing and meditating on his next victim to degrade, criticizing talk radio . . .etc.
he could have been spending all this time reviewing and updating those offshore oil rig policies that he blames Bush for maintaining. The truth is Obama maintained those same policies by his omission to change them. He knows this, yet he still blames Bush because that’s what cowards do, blame everybody else for their shortfalls.

Do I really believe for that he was going to change the offshore oil drilling policies that he’s now blaming Bush for as causing the oil leak disaster and revise them? Not for a second. Yet he expects us all to swallow his tiresome mantra of “it’s Bush’s mess and every disaster that happens during my term as president can, by some twist of lucky charm magic, be blamed on Bush.”

So did Gale Norton, Interior Secretary for five years under President Bush, after she was tied to the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal. Her deputy, Steven Griles, was sentences to 10 months in prison for lying about his ties to Abramoff to the U.S. Senate.

I suggest for ABC News to research the NOAA prepared Emergency Response Plan with emphasis on the Selection Guide.
It shows for the specific circumstances of this incident, that an in-situ burn would have been the method of choice until such time that the only proven method to plug the well (i.e. relief wells) could have been completed.
The decision to instead inject an unprecedented amount of dispersants directly into the oil stream in the deep water actually made everything far worse. It dispersed the oil into small droplets, which dramatically slowed the ascent of the oil to the surface. Hidden from view above, it accumulated to vast clouds of oil, that were recently discovered.
The extent of the damage this will do to the ecosystem is unknown and could reach much further as it is moving towards major currents as the flow of oil continues unabated.
This action of all dispersants is well understood and it should have come as no surprise, that exactly this would happen. So why was it done?
A strategic decision up-front to burn the oil in situ
and focus on means to get it out of the water column would have kept it out of precious marshlands, from where it can no longer be removed.

I think that part of the reason is that people had hoped Obama would do what THEY wanted done, not what he ran on, as if he was some kind of a magician who could suddenly please everyone. Well, he’s just another politician, and he behaves that way.
So, when you guys who worship him wake up to utility bills that you can’t pay, and no hope for a raise at work (if you’ve got a job), just think about it if really makes any sense to keep talking about Bush, before you blame it on him. I know, you will still talk about Bush, but remember that Bush got blamed for what happened during his time in office, whether it was his doing or not.
And remember how Bush got blamed for the losses of our private rights and freedoms that happened over his terms in office, and how those losses have continued during the Obama Presidency. Also, if you voted for Obama based on his promises to bring all of the troops back. Don’t hold your breath. It’s much easier to be a great speaker than it is to be a great leader. And promises are as easy for some to make as they are for those same people to break.

The failure here is that their was no pre prior planning for such an event. When our regulator burorats are all watching porn and getting raises too, we are doomed like Greece. Systemic government failure is becoming evident. Throwing money at these problems without moral leadership is a waste of time.

With the Valdese, Bush I was criticized for taking two weeks to federalize control of the situation. Exxon paid, but nobody sat around whining because we there was direction the US directed and assisted in the solution. The Messiah still hasn’t federalized the situation to help BP. I guess the plan of “action” is to just blame and point fingers. It’s been his “leadership” style since the beginning.

If they truly cared about the environment and the people whose livelihoods are being destroyed, they would have acted before now. I believe the statement, “I’ve worked hard all of my life..” is accurate and applies to a good and healthy portion of our population. Most of us actually work for our existence without benefit of “free” social services, handouts, professional student grants and the general “I got mine” attitude. Of course, there are benefits provided by “government;” I doubt that any one is denying that fact but .. well, let’s see, we’re talking about recycling actual dollars – the theory that money is given to the government and then poured back into the economy. And, that is, obliviously, the cornerstone of our capitalistic philosophy. But, we have two major problems. In order for the system to work, there must be a product, that produces cash flow, and we’re falling very short in that area. Other than agriculture, automobiles and a few minor industries, we no longer produce products. Our system is based on money changers (ie: insurance, banking, interest, services). And, the infrastructure (the government) that oversees the “re-distribution” has become far too top heavy and lucrative. It’s become the quintessential poker game that has the house cutting each pot until, eventually, the pot is drained. The only solution would be for us, as individuals, to shed our political identities (and egos) and to vote for a person not a party. And, hope to God, that we can produce that right person.

Katrina[as are all natural disasters] was a state problem from the start, Bush admin had to beg for the feds to come help but the democrat controlled leaders had already fled[feds needed state permission to come in, but all the cowards had left]. Well, why would they drill in such a dangerous place? Because the drilling restrictions prohibit them from drilling closer. So, if the restrictions were eased, maybe the rig wouldn’t have blown, or if it had, it would have been easier to fix it, and then this wouldn’t be a crisis. Oh, but if it wasn’t a crisis, then Obama and his cronies could use it to advance their agenda, could they?

The rig failure was caused by Cheney’s Hailburton Company. During Katrina, the local officials asked the federal government to take over the Saturday before it hit. After it hit, the city and state had no way to address the crisis. They had no communications, even their walkie-talkies weren’t working. White House memos (doin’ a heckuva job, Rove) show the Bush admin waited an extra 48 hours to even distribute drinking water. Look at the CNN interview with Brownie standing in front of pallets of bottled water. He refused to even turn around and start handing out bottles to the people lined up outside the arena.
