This reminds me of the Guinness commercials: Stop American companies from drilling in the gulf so we have to import more oil from Mexico, which gets most of its oil from the same gulf but has almost no regulations to protect the environment? Brilliant!
Typical liberal take. Do anything to appease their wacko base even though it eliminates American jobs and reduces revenue to the treasury. All of this and likely increasing the chances of future disaster because the same oil will be produced by countries with less strict controls around oil production.

At last a senator with the guts to step forward and make a sensible statement. Unbelievable that there are people who say dumb things like, drill, baby, drill, even if it destroys not only the entire Gulf Coast but can jepordize this entire nation. And for what? If the oceans, the fish, the animals die, if the air is fouled, it won’t make one bit of difference how much oil we find. We will all be facing a slow death. Remember when people actually cared about this country and tried to preserve its beauty? What kind of lunatics don’t get it?
Anyway, at least there is one US Senator who cares more about this country than BP’s oil profits.

DRILL BABY, DRILL!!!
I feel sorry for BP and America since we really need those millions of gallons of crude right now… but at least we know we have another fertile field down there right now so we can put up about 10-20 more rigs all around that fallen rig and BP can make some money off the deal and America will lessen it’s dependence on crude oil by a very small percentage.
Which is why we need to DRILL BABY, DRILL!!! Build a bunch of nuclear power plants, harvest the shale oil out of the rockies and let the coal miners mine… at least until the left-wink Kennedy clan allows a windmill farm to built in Nantucket Sound but those hundreds of windmills will not create a fraction of the power that a single oil well creates.

You Right Wing Moron, this is on a little larger scale then someone dying on an operating table. The Scale of this disaster would be akin to everyone dying in every single hospital in a City.. I think it would be safe to say that every hospital in that City would have to be closed until we put measures in place that can prevent a Tragedy on that scale…

I heard someone died on the operating table in a hospital yeaterday, lets stop all healthcare until we are sure this will never happen again. Meanwhile have BHO fly around the country using fuel in his jet to protest the drilling for more oil to make fuel for his jet to fly around the country in.
