After his regular morning briefings this morning, President Obama will travel to Youngstown, Ohio, for a quick visit, the White House said. While there, Mr. Obama will tour the V & M Star facility, a producer of “seamless Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), Line & Standard Pipe, Coupling Stock and Mechanical Tube.”
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday the business — through an investment by the Recovery Act — was recently able to hire several hundred new workers.
The president will then deliver remarks on jobs and the economy from the factory.
After returning to Washington, D.C., in the afternoon, the president is scheduled to meet with Jewish Members of the Democratic Caucuses in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
