The Presidential Planner
From Sunlen Miller
This morning, President Obama will meet with the NCAA men’s basketball champion Duke Blue Devils at the White House to honor their 2009-2010 championship season in the Rose Garden.
Keeping up the sports theme, the president and the vice president will take a photo with the U.S. World Cup soccer team and former President Bill Clinton, who is chairing the 2018 World Cup bid, on the North Portico. The White House has previously announced that Vice President Biden and Jill Biden will attend the World Cup in South Africa next month.
Afterward, the president will a private have lunch with President Clinton in the Private Dining Room.
In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks on the BP oil spill and the conclusions of his ordered 30-day safety review and hold a press conference in the East Room.
The president will announce standards to strengthen oversight of the industry and enhance safety, a first step in a process that the independent Presidential Commission will continue, a White House official says.
In the meantime, the moratorium on permits to drill new deepwater wells will continue for a period of six months. In addition, the planned exploration off the coast of Alaska in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas will be delayed pending the Comissions review and the August lease sale in the Western Gulf will be cancelled. The lease sale off the coast of Virginia will also be cancelled due to environmental concerns and concerns raised by the Defense Department.
After taking questions from press, the President will then receive a briefing in the Situation Room on the 2010 hurricane season forecast and an overview of the federal government’s national hurricane preparedness. The briefing will be led by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate and NOAA Administrator Dr. Jane Lubchenco, as well as five FEMA Regional Administrators.
In the afternoon, Mr. Obama will hold a bilateral meeting with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia in the Oval Office.
Later in the afternoon, the President, the Vice President and First Lady Michelle Obama will host a reception in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month in the East Room.
Afterward, in the evening, the First Family will travel to Chicago, Illinois for a four-day Memorial Day weekend vacation. The Obamas have not been back to their hometown all together as a family for more than a year.

If you believe that the press conferences are a big conspiracy, then I would guess you were far more impressed with the conference the president held where Republican representatives asked him questions in January? There can be no doubt that they did not tip him off before hand and certainly did go for the hardest gotchas they could prepare.
Those of us in reality realize that the questions at press conferences are unscreened. Indeed, even one reporter prescreening questions is grounds for a career-making story (recall Bush’s male escort who was hired to pose as a reporter and feed him softball questions).

Hannity did a nice bit last night about all the other things The One has been doing in the weeks since the oil spill. Basketball, golf, swanky parties, repping for Boxer…meanwhile, even James Carville is breaking down on national television for help. What I don’t understand is he’s going to have plenty of time to do all of these things in 2012 when he’s voted out, so why not just wait till then?

Hey jhw, The process is called self-screening. Gibbs tells the Reporters the agenda/topics that will be discussed. Any Reporter that asks a question they don’t like, gets shunted to the back rows from then on, and never called on again – so the Reporters do it to them selves to stay in the game. On top of that, Gibbs and Obama know the Reporters well, and usually only call on those who’s articles and reports a always favorable to the Administration. Write a negative piece, and you will never be called on to ask a question again.

I’d like to know when he is going to visit the flood victims in Nashville? 30 people died in that flood. I don’t believe this president represents all people in this country. I also like how he is sticking it to the gulf and southeast by not responding to the oil spill crisis. Shouldn’t be surprised though……. this is what someone with community organizing and chicago politics background gets you.

Jake: Ask Obama today why he has Holder “looking at” the Arizona law, given the unanimous 2006 decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in Muehler v. Mena stating police do not even need “probable cause” to check immigration status and identification? Also ask him about the Somolian Terrorists we have now learned are coming into the U.S. at the Mexican Border. He told us all the people coming across the Border are “Mexicans” and enforcing immigration laws was “picking on Mexicans.” Thanks.

When you elect a self-admitted youthful drug abuser to be your president, Barack Obama is what you get. Arrested maturity and delusional behavior, as shown by NIH studies on youthful drug abuse. We have to endure him at least two and a half years. Hopefully, he will be impeached for offering Joe Sestak a Federal government job if he wouldn’t run against the ogre Arlen Specter. How long has it been since a President has been unable to attend ceremonies at Arlington on Memorial Day? Even Carter and Clinton, neither a friend of the military, were willing and able to honor those who sacrificed so much. I hope everyone remembers this slap in the face, this insult in the future. I quite beleiving what they air many years ago as it all seemed false. The only News channel that makes any sort of sense or is easy enough for the layman these days is FOX. Regardless of what Obama says about them i feel they are more of a news channel then any main stream entity. I won’t even allow my children to watch any of the major networks. Glad that the media is Obama’s personal planner now….good journalism ABC. Why are they covering this as a news story? Will they record how much tea and coffee he drinks as well? Maybe when the media, and our country as a majority, realizes what the real issues of the nation are rather than Obama’s pitiful daily agenda (in comparisons to what else is going on in the world that he could turn his attention to) will we become a better nation. The only hope people will have in 2012 for Obama is that he doesn’t get beat out too badly.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing. .. Another interesting side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals.

Economy improving (slowly, but better than the accelerating crash it was in at the end of 2008 – DOW up, GDP up, job losses have turned to job growth, US auto industry stabilized, banks stabilized, etc), foreign policy in good shape (Iraq winding down, Afghanistan recieving attention, drone work in Pakistan, pirate hostage takers dealt with well in Somalia, China and Russia slightly more onboard with regards to Iran, etc), immigration noisy but OK (border state crime is down, border patrols up, border security funding is up, number of involuntary deportations per year are up), heath insurance regulations reworked, banking regulation reform almost done, scientific research investment is up…
If Obama does nothing but veto Republican efforts to return to the Republican policies of the last 8 years that dug this hole (have a surplus? Tax breaks! Going to war? Tax breaks! Have a deficit? Tax breaks! Health care, immigration, banking regulation, industry regulation – cut costs or keep the status quo by demanding reform be perfect or nothing!) for the next three years, I will be more than satisfied by his performance.

Dear Tammy, Please become educated in the responsibilities and separation of powers of all three branches of the US government as described in the US Constitution.
You might want to give 0bama a pass on his malfeasance by claiming the job of president is not really anything more than a master of ceremonies.
But that is patently not true. If 0bama thinks the presidency is a “figurehead” he would do well to resign today.

Its disheartening that a wartime president is not presiding over Memorial Day ceremonies at Arlington and is instead acting like its just a regular vacation day. The symbolism if his indifference is striking. I will never vote for a non-veteran for President again.

Quote from the Czech Republic
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.”
“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

I hope he plays golf, Basketball and runs with who ever he wants and leaves us alone. I am also glad he will not go to Arlington and taint the graves of real Americans with his dictatorial Marxist presents. Those men fought against the likes of Obama’s ideology.

Dear Mark,
Thank you for your rosy outlook. You are getting your news from some unreliable sources. Facts you can find yourself:
GDP growth is slowing
National debt approaching a critically high level
Private sector wages are falling
Tax revenues are falling
Unemployment is so intractable that benefits will be extended
Stock market at 2000 levels
North Korea backed by China is threatening South Korea
Iran is building nuclear weapons
Afghanistan war efforts are showing no progress
Iraq is becoming more unstable
Troops sent to border will not be allowed to enforce immigration laws
And what is 0bama doing now? Handing out awards and having lunch with a former president. Wow.

The delusional comments of the Obama acolytes are astounding?. Their total unawareness of the role of the President and the purpose of the Constitution reflects the agenda driven indoctrination that comprised their so-called education. Their emotionally reflexive statements illustrate the absence of the simplest elements of analysis. Their repeated requests of “what do you mean . . .” shows a total lack of awareness of Obama’s actions. Their simple responses of esoteric baloney shows the first derivative comprehension level of a toddler. Education, media, and political demogoguery has produced a huge number of easily manipulated simpletons, whose only response to criticism is name calling and distraction. Where are the listeners? Where are the thinkers? Where are the adults????

I’m glad Obama is going to Chicago – it is where he belongs and I can only wish he would stay there. He can do nothing about LA but he should have been there and at least acted like he cared. I’m sure he could apologized to them for the rest of the country using their oil and putting the whole state at risk. *sarcasm* Look, the point is I want him to do nothing. I want the Congress to do nothing. They’ve done way too much damage since he’s been in office as it is. As to the point the true danger is a citizenry who would elect him, I agree to a certain extent. But, the damage he has done and can still do with the Democrats in charge to our country and our Republic may be changes which cannot be undone because this same citizenry is complacent. Right now, I only wish for stalemate and a grinding halt to the headlong rush to “fix” everything. When I know of personal friends who actually believe the Constitution needs to be “tweaked” to reflect modern times, I know our country is in danger of changing to something which is failing in Europe.
Please, please stay in Chicago and Pelosi, Reid, go on vacation too. Don’t come back.

A principle runs a school and reviews the first tests of the year. The results of the tests had a range of grades ranging from A to F. In an act of ‘School Justice” the teacher decides that it is not fair that some kids fail in the school, and all the students get a C since that was the average grade. Now everyone on the lower end of the spectrum has the same grade as those on the higher end. Now what will motivate the students on the higher end, that did what it takes to make the good grades, to do the same again knowing that they will not receive the grade they earned? And what will motivate those who earned lower grades to improve their own? And what happens to the average when the top students stop working hard enough to keep that average at a C?

It is so hypocritical for you to be the ones writing or commenting on his boarish behavior. He doesn’t have any understanding of patriotism, he never was without benefits – ie: Punahoe in Hawaii is an elete school and difficut to get in to. He doesn’t have a clue on how a president behaves – ie: sending back Winston Churchill’s statue. What guy – thanks media – you spawned this miracle on us. It’s obvious that Obummer doesn’t care about what you say about him, he’s protected by the presidency. America’s Industrial Complex has been farmed out to other countries where they make our goods for ten cents on the dollar and shipped back to us at twice the price. Private jobs have been lost with no end in site. We have more oil and gas reserves in this country than anywhere else in the world however we do not tap them for fear of ####### off the Arabs, who are funding the radical muslims. We’ve not controlled our borders and don’t care about how many or who comes across and we’re quick to furnish them a drivers license, social security benefits, healthcare, etc. DOESN’T ANYONE SEE THE PROBLEM HERE? IT’S NOT JUST OBUMMER, THERE’S A HUGE ONGOING CONSPIRACY TAKING PLACE FOR THE PAST 100 YEARS AND SHORTLY ALL YOUR FREEDOMS WILL BE LOST. Hmmm…Jewish-American…Is that like Christian-American? Or Hindu-American? The last time I looked, Jewish, Judaism, refers to a set of religious beliefs. American Jews trace their ancestry to Germany, Russia, Ukraine, France, Belgium, Italy, etc.etc., as well as Israel. As a matter of fact, the same can be said of Israel. While there are Semitic Israelis, there are also Israelis of diverse European derivation. The common bond among them is Judaism or the Jewish religion. While I find it in no way objectionable that the current occupants of the White House and their sycophants choose to acknowledge the wonderful contributions of “Jewish-Americans” to the amazing quilt that is the United States, I find their motivation suspect in light of their clear contempt for other religious groups (except Muslims, of course). Is it at all possible that, in spite of the President’s dismissal of National Prayer Day, his absence from any kind of Sunday worship, his facility in jettisoning his 20-year affiliation with Reverend Wright, his disinterest in the Franklin Graham/Pentagon episode, his insult to the Prime Minister of Israel, he ingratiates himself with Jewish-Americans because they are massive contributors to his political coffers and because they vote almost en masse for the democrat party?
I was just wondering…Hmmm…

I guess Obama is living up to his administrations motto: “Never waste a good crisis” (Hillary Clinton), and “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste” (Rahm Emanuel). The worse this gets, the better the circumstances are for him to impose his commie regulations on this country.

“I fully expect a large swath of the conservative movement to stand against any new regulation while bleating about the specter of “more government,” despite the fact that more (and better) government is exactly what we need to prevent a repeat of this disaster. The depressing truth is that it’s impossible to come away from this with a constructive solution when one of the two major parties is devoted to realizing a world where government exists solely to invade countries, enrich the privileged, and violate civil liberties. [...]Right now the most pressing issue in American politics is the fact that only one of the two parties is genuinely interested in governing.”

They’ll be blaming him right up until Obama is voted out of office in 2012; and then of course they won’t blame Obama for anything that the next administration has to deal with. At what point do people admit the left has done nothing to help this moribund economy – wait, I’ll answer my own question; this November.

dawn_marie: The current administration and party in power are not interested in governing, they are interested in personal agendas and pointing fingers of blame instead of being accountable for their own actions or lack thereof. The oil rig explosion does not require “new government regulation”, it requires proper application, oversight, and enforcement of existing regulations. Same as the financial crash was not due to a lack of regulations, it was due to a lack of enforcement of existing regulations. Immigration doesn’t need new laws, it needs enforcement of existing laws.
Regulators inspected the oil rig just months before the explosion and gave it a clean report on the safety inspection. Those regulators report to a department that has been under the control of this administration for 18 months now, there is no more blaming Bush/Cheney on this. How are new regulations going to make those regulators suddenly inspect the rigs better? They failed to do their jobs by existing regulations, the answer is not more regulations. Additionally, the story broke LAST YEAR that people in the MMS department were being found to have accepted gifts beyond the allowable amounts from oil companies to influence oil lease decisions, why didn’t the administration clean house then? Why hasn’t the SEC house been cleaned of all the people asleep at the wheel over there who are surfing porn instead of doing their jobs?
No, the only thing this administration knows how to do is turn a blind eye to the will of the people, force their own agenda, and point fingers at everyone but themselves (like the whole “no lobbyists working in this administration, except the lobbyists we pick out that we want”).

It’s amazing how hard Republicans work to run from responsibility. No one in the Bush administration was ever responsible for anything, from leaking Plame’s identity to the abuse at Abu Graib that decimated our pyswar efforts. And now that implementation of their Republican ideology has destroyed the economy, crashed the financial industry, and mired us in nation building overseas, they are going right to work passing the blame.
Pretty sad really. Democrats didn’t pull this ‘not me! you touched it last!’ childish garbage after Carter.

Apparently it’s not clear to you what a leader is supposed to do. He makes decisions, delegates, LEADS…not do the work himself. The government should be exhausting every possible avenue and resource to fix this problem….and that doesn’t mean some bailout to a union either.

Hmm…26 days of vacation in his first year in addition to 32 rounds of golf. This during a veterans memorial ceremony that he needs to be at, war time, natural disasters hurting all of us, and in an economy that the PEOPLE have still seen almost no improvement. That’s fine to take a break, I get that. But time it better. It’s a privelege to be at that memorial ceremony and he should kow and respect that. And don’t go while we sit here and wait for your suppossed “solutions” to a sinking America.

I’m sure the soldiers that are deployed under the President’s orders would love to go home too, but they can’t. This President will not even take time out of his vacation to remember veterans and deployed soldiers by putting a wreath in Arlington. He doesn’t care about any of our military! They don’t ask for much but this shows us how much of an elitist he really is.

Its the new mantra– and soooooo predictable. So much so that Jonathan Bernstein has blogged about it, via “Here comes impeachment” at the Washington Post.
“The incentives all run to impeachment, as far as I can tell. The leaders of such an effort would find it easy to cash in (literally, I mean) with books and appearances on the conservative lecture circuit. It’s hard to believe that Rush, Beck and the rest of the gang wouldn’t be tripping over each other to wear the crown of the Host Who Brought Down the socialist gangster president. And we’ve seen the ability, or I should say the lack thereof, of rank-and-file GOP pols to stand up to the talk show yakkers. Besides, it’s not as if a new Republican majority would have a full agenda of legislative items to pass, and what they did have would face an Obama veto (and most likely death in the Senate at any rate). Against all that is the collective preference of the Republican Party not to have a reputation as a pack of loons, but that doesn’t seem to be much of a constraint in practice. Of course, also against impeachment is the lack of a serious offense by the president, but I don’t see that as a major impediment — if offering a job to a potential Senate candidate is an impeachable offense (and see Jonathan Chait if you think it really is), then they’ll have no trouble at all coming up with something.”

Darrell writes: “Both Bushes and Reagan missed the Arlington ceremony as well.”
That’s only partially true. The real point here is that Obama said he was going to be different. He apparently isn’t. He made dozens of promises during his campaign that he’s already broken or amended or ignored altogether, all in the name of cheap political expediency. It’s simply that Obama consistently gets a pass on every screw-up while his predecessor is consistently blamed for all of this current administration’s shortcomings.
It’s worn thin and people are becoming more and more disgusted with the adolescent “it’s Bush’s fault” mantra.
The president’s job is to lead, inspire, listen, and set a proper example and tone for civil political discourse – all solemn obligations seemingly beyond this president’s capabilities.
These are hard, challenging times and the country needs a leader who’s serious about assuming the responsibilities of the job he willingly sought.
What we don’t need is a disaffected, naive, smug Eddie Haskell wannabe who’s only at his best when he’s “working the room.”

As millions of Americans are out of work, the Gulf and millions of lives are hurt by the oil spill, and illegals are pouring over our borders, and American soldiers are fighting overseas, Obama decides to go to a Paul McCartney concert in Chicago and to skip out on the solemn ceremonies honoring our Americans who have given their lives protecting this country. Obama should be ashamed of himself…but it’s not in him. He is not suitable to serve as the Commander and Chief of the enitre armed forces of the greatest country that has ever existed– the United States of America. Obama must be impeached.

To bobkal:
OK, trying to make President Bush out to be taking a vacation to France because it coincidentally happens to be the 60th Anniversary of D-Day is IDIOTIC. This happens to be where more soldiers GAVE THEIR LIVES for our country in one of the the largest invasions of all time.
Then to TRY to fluff up President Obama’s visit to the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (not that it’s a bad thing) in addition to the other PR things going on today & tomorrow & just sliding back in to DC in time to catch the Paul McCartney concert. You gotta be kidding me. The Arlington visit by a sitting President other than something that would trump it, ie significant Anniversary of Normady is about showing due respect to those who’ve given the ultimate sacrifice for OUR country.
This has nothing to do with “domestic issues”. What a COP OUT! Like how about 5-6 weeks later, finally talking about doing something about the oil spill. How about JOBS? The next time you want to try to cover for the President, come up with a better argument. DUH!

Ha! No… it does not. The pack of loons prevails.
This is also on point:
“Of course, also against impeachment is the lack of a serious offense by the president, but I don’t see that as a major impediment.”
Right, it wouldn’t be to a pack of loons dedicated to devastating the country.

To jhw539,
You are truly decieved. “Immigration noisy but ok – border state crime is down” is what you claim – Do you live in a border state? I not only live in a border state, but I live close to and work along the border area. Your statement is completely wrong. In addition, do you really believe he was able to step in and wave a magic wand and make Iraq and Afghanistan better? That was our troops, plain and simple. It pisses me off that anyone would give credit for the progress over there to anyone but our service personnel. And then to think that the government is going to take money I earn, and then spend it on healthcare for people who don’t want to get up off their own lazy ass and work – well, it makes me sad that you think this is great. It’s people like you who will drive this country into oblivion. Just a reminder, the government doesn’t have any money it hasn’t taken from it’s citizens first!

“Time it better…” is right. I understand that with a position like the president, there will be elegant dinners and priveleged meetings, but how can he take another vacation when:
-The economy is still in horrible condition and the economic outlook has only gotten worse
-There are multiple wars still going on
-He has yet to visit any disaster area in Tennessee
-He has only been to Lousiana once and is only going a second time after realizing it would hurt his political image
-And there are increasing amounts of security problems on our borders and abroad, without any more solutions
I understand the need to vacation with your family, but time it better. 26 days of vacation in the first year? 32 rounds of golf? Not to mention all the other sporting events, photo shoots, and fundraising dinners that have become more important than the previously mentioned problems. Tactless…

It’s all meant to make us feel warm and confident that the country is well taken care of. I’m sure, given his relative youth and inexperience, the real controlling powers of our government and financial system (READ: Federal Reserve) are only giving Mr. Obama enough work so he’s able to function fully and believably as the “people’s Administrative Jester.”

The city employees havn’t had a raise in 2 years. The deductibles and copays are going up, but we have to spend 1.6 million so Obama have a “middle class” vacation at the Grove Park Inn. _______
To be frank, “Shing”, that sounds like the Republican party to me, although the Republican party is even worse than that.
Much worse.
For eight looooong miserable poverty-increasing deficity-building liberty-stomping years, we all watched a horrid administration keep officials on the job, regardless of poor job performance, we watched a president back slap and praise those who failed. Some of us blogged, turned activist, wrote letters and campaigned.
Others voted for more of the same. And now defend what took place.
You all can certainly rant and rave and accomplish nothing and somehow you think that makes you worthwhile, but imo, it just makes you seem tired and wrong and loud and bad for the future of the country.
Meanwhile, Obama will hold a press conference today, the MMS head has been fired, the economy is slowly turning around and the Democrats are actually dealing (not always well, but with serious concern and effort) with the many, many, MANY problems the country has due to idiots who voted in Bush twice in addition to the horrible Republicans in Congress, many who have been there way too long and are in bed with K Street.

It is not as if there are any wars, or record unemployment, or record numbers of families being evicted from their homes, or a third war about to start in Korea, or rogue nations building nuclear weapons, or anything important like that going on.
These are just calm, quiet, normal times where the government is spending money they do not have and ignoring requests from governors to protect the borders from an invasion.

It seems that the economy tanked after the country’s largest , most vile, bad smelling hate group, that appeals to a loser crowd, took over congress in 2007, and only got worse once the corrupt, low intellect Odummy got into office. Really getting the strong OPINION that we have elected a guy who has trouble establishing priorities — guess that just comes with inexperience!
Obama’s indecision is going to cost him dearly. After 38 days — 38 days — he has finally taken timid action on off shore drilling. Well WHOOPTY DO!!
Oil is now in the marshes; the fishing industry is at a STOP in Louisiana, and soon to be in Mississippi, and Lord only know in Alabama and Florida; the tourist trade for this season — as a minimum — is ruined; allied jobs surrounding fishing, shore agriculture, and tourism are over; and unknown long term illness lurk!
While Obama will point fingers at others, will attempt to shift blame to Bush/Cheney, the fact is — like in so many other cases the past 16 months — his inexperienced dithering has cost this Nation dearly. His bureaucracy FAILED to address request from local governments for them to help themselves — and Jake, even you have to admit that when you EARN the IRE of the RAGIN’ CAJUN, you have a problem. Obama has a problem — A BIG PROBLEM!!
PS: Know he will be able to rest up during his vacation this weekend, and will skip the Memorial Day observance at Arlington! Thanks a lot Obama!! ENJOY YOUR GOLF AND HOOP SHOOTING ON MONDAY!! THE BOYS OVER AT THE LEGION AND VFW WILL REMEMBER!!

Compared to 96 days in Bush’s first 9 months… Not sure how you come up with 26 days either, but that sounds reasonable.
-jhw539 | May 27, 2010 12:32:57 PM
We can sit here all day if you want and make infinite comparisons between the two, but this has nothing to do with Bush. Just like yesterday when Barney Frank turned blame on Bush for the oil rig explosion. Carville was not criticizing the president becuase of the explosion itself, but becuase of his lackluster RESPONSE to the problem, just as Bush was criticized for his slow response to Katrina.
Two wrongs don’t make a right jhw539. Bush may have made mistakes, but how is that even a defense of what Obama is doing? Two separate issues. If Bush was performing the same way Obama is right now, I’d be criticizing him too. But right now, it’s Obama who is making choices more for political image and gain, rather than based on reason and law. It’s disappointing to see from any president.

Why don’t you check on the wonderful response the “messiah” had in Tennessee during their floods recently. Oh that’s right, there was none.
BTW for those of you who are saying he reformed health care, talk to all those people who are now paying for it, when it used to be free through their employer or the people who have completely lost their health care from their employer because of the health care bill. That’s not reform.

Obama is nothing more than a man-child masquerading as a man. He spent his life in musty Harvard Law lounge rooms, pontificating socialist, marxist ideology with his like-minded buddies in academia. He doesn’t believe anything those heroes died for. He loathes America and could care less about Americans. It’s bad enough to have the enemy of America in the White House, we don’t need further insult by having this buffoon go to Arlington. God Bless America and all those who died to make it great.

Every thought or question whoever want to ask or anything which newspaper want to write he already knows then from that point PBS, NPR, CNN, ABC, CBS,NBCs, LAtimes, NYtimes, Washingpost all orchestrate at the same time talking point base on whatever gabage these organizations throw out then they themselves digest it without thinking. Having said that, I don’t believe this guy at all and most of the people in these news organization.

Bush and his administration goofed off and hesitated to act when they knew a disaster was coming, a week in advance… and then continued to hesitate. Many thousands of American were directly physically threatened or in actual danger for their lives, and the entire world knew that in advance. They were in the direct path of a gigantic storm. Bush goofed off when that was the case. Nice try Obama-haters, but this is not Obama’s Katrina.
There was no warning for the BP explosion and disaster. It happened, 12 people died, and it was largely the fault of BP and the fact that regulations on the safety practices of oil companies have been bad for years, thanks in large part to the Republican mantra, since the Reagan era especially, of “de-regulation”, “get government out of the private sector.”
I hate this disaster… it’s terrible… I think the government could do more. That’s where I love the double-speak of Republicans: well… what do you want? More government oversight and regulation in big business, or less? Make up your freakin’ minds.
I hesitate to say this, but as bad as this disaster is, where are the people on the rooftops, waiting for supplies, waiting for rescue, waiting to die? Fact is: this is not the same as Katrina. Yes, it’s a horrible hit to the nature and ecology and business of the Gulf Coast south… but it’s not the same as Katrina.
Obama haters: get over yourselves. Obama is five times a better president than Bush ever was, period. BTW… news alert, all your hateful emails about Obama posted here follow an article that says that we appear to be figuring out a way to stop the oil spill. Nice timing.
There are still hundreds of people dead or homeless, thanks to Bush’s Katrina.

John,
You do not know what you are talking about. This spill is far worse than Katrina. We can sweep up and dry out after that. This spill has devastated our seafood industry for generations to come; thousands of people from fishermen to hotel and restaurant workers to suppliers have now lost their livelihoods. Further, the destruction to the wetlands and marshes due to this spill has now placed the city of New Orleans at greater physical risk from storms. Obamam’s administration gave this rig a safety award and waived their participation in an environmental impact study. It does not take much to connect the dots between that and the fact that Obama is the single largest recipient of cash from BP over the last 20 years. And if you think his administration has been proactive in addressing this spill and the damage it is causing, then you are delusional. Just listen to James Carville! Signed, a New Orleanian.

He was NOT on the sidelines ignoring Katrina, but trying to talk some sense into those two failures. But they ignored him. They were incompetent and indecisive. And those democrat leaders are responsible for what happened after Katrina. And now your democrat buddies in DC are denying the current Louisiana governor’s request to do something about this current disaster. Puhleeeezze!!

After an utterly ineffectual handling of the oil-spill catastrophe, after his failure to mitigate unemployment what with the “laser-like” focus on jobs — I can see where he’d need all this “personal time” and have some slack in his schedule for all the photo-ops and hobnobbing and speech-giving and so forth.
Give a “lecture,” point fingers, create contention and division, make sure the buck stops anywhere but with him, give more annoying long-winded meandering rhetoric-ridden speeches, create more contention and division, continue with the inane politicking and campaigning, take a vacation — and apparently do little else; certainly not anything that actually helps American interests or serves The People.
When does this blowhard actually do any effective *administrating*? That’s his job, ain’t it? Not pushing unwanted legislation, not endlessly giving superfluous speeches. *Actual administrating.*
The Federal Government actually has a limited — if very weighty — role. Among its fundamental purposes are national defense, large-scale emergency response and disaster relief, and infrastructure. And the chief executive is supposed to delegate and ensure functionality and proper organization of appropriate agencies and departments to ensure government is doing what it is supposed to.
From “shovel-ready jobs” to this oil-spill catastrophe, it’s clear that it’s all way outside Obama’s grasp.
And the media have — to an unprecedented degree — indulged this spoiled-brat finger-pointing unqualified crybaby.

The people had 3 days to evacuate the city, instead they waited until the water forced them to their rooftops..
There’s only so much one can to prevent an F5 hurricane from devastating a city built below sea level. You may consider blaming years of inaction by the Army of Corps of Engineers, the local, city, and state government..
People like to point fingers, but I’ve seen plenty of documentaries of Katrina to realize people had tim to get out, but they chose to stay in their houses until they had to be evacuated by helicopter.

We are doing more and more business with China like a bunch of crack hos looking for a cheap 50 cent fix, have state dinners for Mexico while we don’t even offer Israel a burger and fries when they are in town, we don’t retaliate against North Korea when they attack our allies, Barry’s basically said FU to our military by going on vaca instead of ToUS Memorial Day but throws a bone by taking baby out of the corner (Biden) to pacify and ironically, our first black president apparently wants to reignite the war between the states with immigration and thinks the quote”The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or one” is BS when related to healthcare and finance/spending even more to life in general, but mainly figures the Nashville Floods and the Gulf Oil Spill will “figure” themselves out if he can just get Gates and a six pack together, and has spent the last 492 days campaigning…It’s Bush’s fault

He doesn’t miss a beat with his sports events, traveling around the world, vacationing, photo ops, campaigning and dinner events. And his vacation is more important than the CIC being at Arlington Cemetary when we have our soldiers involved in 2 wars. What an un-American, lying, arrogant, narcisstic piece of human waste this jerk is!

What the hell do you want him to do, put on a wet suit and jump into the water? Fixing a catastrophic oil leak 5000 feet below the surface requires highly specialized equipment that our government doesn’t have. BP is going to have to figure it out, no matter how long it takes, and it would be stupid for Obama to being sitting on a boat just to make you happy. Everyone thinks he should be somewhere else. Instead of demanding that the president personally fix everything that’s wrong in your life, why don’t you get off your ass and fix it yourself?

Why is the truth so rare amongst the Republican right?
From FOX news . . .
“I’ve never seen this kind of response,” said Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, “and we’ve had our share of tornadoes and so forth.” The State governor was speaking to reporters on a conference call arranged by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) from Nashville, which has been hit hard by rains last weekend.
“FEMA and the White House could not have been more helpful in this thing,” Bredesen said. Record amounts of rain fell Saturday and Sunday, more than 13 inches recorded in parts of Tennessee. Officials Thursday reported the state’s 20th death from the storm and subsequent flooding.
“After speaking with the governor Monday, President Obama signed a disaster declaration for the state Tuesday, sending federal aid to Tennessee to help supplement the state and local recovery efforts.”

Obama can sign executive order after executive order immediately after gaining office. He has appointed 20-30 “Czars” with no voting, no congressional oversight, no vettting.
But he couldn’t issue one little permit so Bobby Jindal could get to work setting up berms to block the oil?!?!?! Too freakin’ late now!
How about Oblahblah getting farmers together across the country and sending hundreds of tons of hay bales to sop up the oil even before it reached land. Too late now!
He could have approached BP and asked what is it you need? We will throw in every resource available. Instead we get his little minion Ken Salazar acting like a Nazi and saying “We will keep our boot on their neck until the job gets done,” referring to BP. A lot of help there!
The lousy little fraud is a complete failure. He is the antihesis of everything American.
This doesn’t even include the travesty in Tennessee where they had their worst flood in 100 years and once again Oblahblah was a no-show. Out eating Kobe beef and partying.
It’s beyond me how more than three people still approve of this worthless man-child!

Nobody hears about Nashville is exactly because everything is taken care of. new orleans should have been the same if only FEMA did its job. But it turned out to be a disaster exactly because it did not. The reports out of New orleans about terrible conditions there did not start to come out until 3-4 days later, when Bush was cutting cakes and Rice was shopping for shoes. If Bush did his job, we would never hear about NO either.

Greg..of course there are differences..but the press hung Bush for Katrina..and let me tell you a little about hurricanes as I lived through Andrew. No one..and I mean NO ONE, ever knows exactly where it will hit until it does. As I headed north on the turnpike the day before landfall, the ONLY traffic on the southbound side was the press..FEMA doesn’t bring in tractors with food BEFORE a hurricane for obvious reasons..and last I checked, 18 wheelers don’t come with outboard engines..my point is this..the press layed all of it at BUSH’s feet..every day..not so with Obama..and the democrats cut him no slack for the things he could not help.

I am not talking about knowing before. The hurricane hit New orleans on Friday or Saturday, leeves failed on Monday. On Thursday there were still no FEMA in the city. While in Nashville, FEMA was on the ground while it was still raining. But New Orleans was on the ground. It could be reached by helicopters, tanks, cars – every journalist was able to get there. but not the Feds. How do you excuse that? And how do you access the leak that is 5,000 under? Was US supposed to have these drons? Well, you would call it wasteful spending right away. Be honest.

These ear marks that are “possible” spending if Congress passes it….The devil is in the details….when have we ever known either party not to use these loop holes to fund other programs.Congress (both parties) are good at this. Their was an “Omnibus Bill”(1994) passage under the Clinton era, and republican congress….A conglomerate of bills so to speak. Look it up. This is no different the the Healthcare bill. True, preexisting conditions and cap rates were included, again-regulatory issue-why does this cost money?Again, why is Europe looking to exit its current system.Tax rates are near 60-70%.I am not question the intentions, just the inefficiencies of our government.Private Sector takes profit pushing efficiency.Government doesn’t care about profits…Again difference of philosphy, your arguments are noted but something I will never identify with

They were successful in the change the problem now is we replaced a chauffeur behind the wheel of a high speed auto with a blind idiot. As to spending 8 yrs of Bush was less than a little over one year of obama. Unemployment Bush around 3 % Obamma 35 million unemployed and no prospects.

Government is not a solution. But you would have to agree that markets did nothing in healthcare. why? Because healthcare cannot be regulated by markets – you simply cannot say No like you could to a bad TV or car. And the more we know about health the more we know many things cannot be even prevented, they just happen. You keep saying Europe. Greece is not Europe. You do not see the same problems in Netherlands, which has a version of Obamacare. You do not see problems in Germany or even France. I agree that Congress always votes for pork. But show me anyone who would turn away pork for their state or their county. Tea party folks are as dishonest because they always want to protect SSN and Medicare, which is ridiculous while claiming to not like debt. By the way, do you want to pay more taxes to hire qualified, cream of the crop, people into the government to make it efficient? Because this is what BP does. Will you give agencies as much money to hire the best of the best? I know the answer.

Governor Bredesen of Tennessee recognized his state’s emergency was “sandwiched between” the news coverage of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the attempted car bombing in New York’s Times Square, and while he wanted to call national attend to the “extraordinary event”, he noted the Obama administration has been focused from the beginning. “FEMA was on the ground before the rain drops fell,” said Bredesen, who noted he’d not only spoken to Mr. Obama, but Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano and Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett. “We’re very pleased with the response we’ve gotten from the administration.”
Bredesen said that during their Monday conversation, he and Mr. Obama did talk about a future presidential visit. Both agreed it would be counter-productive for the president to come down south in the first days following the storm as so many resources are needed to accommodate a presidential visit.

The netherlands doesn’t have one of the fastest growing populations (legal and illegal).

Under the Bush Administration, the Interior Department as a whole was rocked by one scandal after another. Sharon Buccino of the Nation Resources Defense Council told ABC News that for years it was completely mismanaged.
“Unfortunately we had people in control under the Bush administration who really put the interest and the profit of their friends in the oil and gas, coal industry front and center,” Buccino said.
Buccino points to Former Deputy Assistant Secretary Julie MacDonald, who the agency’s own Inspector General reported forced scientists to change their findings, even giving internal documents to oil companies and land developers.

Wow! Amazing! Took responsibility for what? For what? For Katrina? No, he never did. For Iraq? No, he said he would do that same thing all over. For Afganistan? No, again would do the same thing. You guys started to blame Obama the day he was elected, not even sworn. This is why it is so lame. The minute he was elected you already sited Hitler and Stalin. and now you want credibility? How about taking responsibility and paying back my taxes that you wasted over many years? I want my money back!!!

Greg, Obama has had 16 months in which to tighten up those loosened regs. He actually gave this rig an award last year! Sorry the Blame Bush saga doesn’t cut it here! And fyi, No Child Left Behind was Teddy Kennedy’s baby. You tellin me he was a repub. lol

This inept community organizer doesn’t look like the oil spill is his ‘top priority’. He looks like he’s doing what he wants to do and slipping a bit of political spin in and then continuing on his arrogant way. He’s hurting himself more than his narcisstic self will admit.

I’m just curious. Did you guys happen to read the story yesterday about how the workers at the solar plant lost a days worth of work…so the president could make a speach promoting the solar industry? To me that just seems totaly counter-productive. Here you’re saying that more jobs need to be created and you’re doing a great job at turning the economy around and promoting your political views, all while not paying attention to the effects it has on the regular American. He cost a group of hard-workers a day’s worth of pay, pay that they really rely on more than his large check. These people really don’t get it do they???

It might have been Kennedy’s baby, but it was Bush who was proud of passing it, so nice try. Man, you want Obama to know that rigs are bad while he is trying to deal with two wars, horrible economy, people on left and right not liking anything he does, debt, foreign policy and other things? You are telling me he was supposed to know? Guess what, the person responsible resigned today. Was Brownie gone that fast? I had no idea the right wants a czar in charge. Which is not new – you guys would love to be in China, as long as GOP is always in charge.

Greg,
30 years? try 12 with no where near the super majority that dictates such policy blunders as the the Dems.Minor majorities still deal with Filibusters. 94′-96′ super overridable majorities for GOP. Have you been to California? That state has been run by a Democratic super Majority for the past 24+ years.the State employs 50% of the population and the most cost prohibitive state with reference to business in the whole union.News Update:Bankrupt.FYI-The executive branch doesn’t not qualify as control. The most powerful position within the California style government is the Sentate Pro-Tem, not governor. My degree came from Sacramento State University, Government was the emphasis. the whole staff of teachers and the dean were ex-staffers from the California system. I helped volunteer in State and local campaigns. All dems. I helped with Bill Bradley’s campaign back in 1996.I still am not understanding how we justify inefficient spending that requires higher taxes or more spending. This also doesn’t answer how regulatory changes on both the healthcare and financial systems require new departments of government and increased spending. These Bills are good with intention but are so full of loopholes and spending blunders they will never add up to anything but blunders. You keep refering to systems of government that are 1 tenth the size as our current government. Again, in response to your states of example with similar systems, Greece, Germany, Netherlands? I won’t comment about Germany other then 70%+ taxes and a liter of gas that is what 7, 8 or $9. Our Healthcare system is still more cost prohibitive because why? Tort reform, ask Bill and Hillary about that. Our governmental system and economy are far more dynamic(more variables) then even china. Our currency is the only one in the world that can handle the responsibilities to the world economy that it does. That is what our financial market has done under a democracy. US GDP 12 Trillion dollars, China 4 Trillion.Germany is less than $1 dollars. Our failing Healthcare system does need help but to take 1/12th of the global economy, and 1 sixth of the US economy under government control is ludicris. It is a program designed to subsidies not eliminate cost.I haven’t read all of it but still have many disagreements.

What Greg has been mistaken about is each of the GOP presidencies tripled the revenue coming into the Government, not by higher taxes but with more transactions within consumer spending and the stock market….I can see no one wants to respond to that either. Clinton doesn’t have a legacy, Newt created the Contract with America. Obama has basketball….again no legacy. Al Gore won a nobel peace prize, but the informaiton or data he presented was falsified….Only legacy. The Green movement has been the biggest special interest movement in the United States sincce the civil rights movement. God bless the civil rights leaders, I can’t say the same for the many who’ve made billions on green energy.

It’s debatable at best whether Obama’s presence in the Gulf would have any actual effect, but I love the contrast between the press going ape over Bush’s supposed lax response to Katrina, and nary a peep about the Gulf situation beyond a couple of blatantly anti-Obama evening pundits on Fox. And they say the press doesn’t show obvious signs of bias…

Is it Fair to ask that:
3 weeks to wait to assemble a team to address the disaster was, well, lackadaisical?
Liz Birnbaum, head of MMS, Harvard lawyer with only admin experience, appointed by Obama in July 09 was unqualified for the job?
Obama and his team have no experience in managing big organizations effectively?
Obama and his team have no experience in managing small organizations effectively?
Obama and his team have not experience in the private sector for effective management or profitability?
Salazar & Napolitano are over their heads in orchestrating a coordinated response to various types of disasters (invasions of illegals or Gulf disasters?
Obama and his team copes by condemning a former Administration for all the ills?…..(, an Administration which in 8 years had no oil spills, no massive invasions of criminals on the border, no inept idiots to make bad situations worse)
People who voted for Obama should be Thrashed? Ostracized? Relieved of the responsibility of the upbringing of their children?

While he can’t be blamed for the disaster he should be there just to give moral support to the workers cleaning up the mess and most importantly showing compassion for the many workers who lost their livelihood. They might just be blue collar workers and not rich overeducated liberals, but he is supposed to be the leader of America. Stop looking to blame someone and be a leader.
Why is the media ignoring this?
Posted by: Evan | May 27, 2010, 8:20 pm 8:20 pm
Sports trumps an environmental disaster. The impact will probably dwarf Katrina. A huge number of so called environmentalists, especially from Hollywood, are revealing their true colors as opportunists by ignoring this totally while dancing across the stage under the former administration. The more we see the more it becomes evident that a large chunk of the so called environmentalists are politicians instead, chasing after the spotlights and dollars for causes that may not even exist while ignoring those they can’t profit from. Evidently change you can trust doesn’t include the Gulf of Mexico.

I think it’s funny how all the efforts from BP to fix the oil spill have been an attempt to harvest oil rather than plug it? Just a thought remember the dome where oil was to shoot up to an awaiting tanker, and why was ice a issue unless the ice made the oil non refinable? It appears the greed continues while everything around the oil dies….This looks like a great time for our president to take a vacation.
To take it another step further the oil at that depth, is similar to an oil refinery process where temperature and pressure convert crude oil into all sorts of other compounds. So basically BP could harvest refined oil at the expence of mother nature. Everyone in this country should be outraged!!!

You seem to be operating under the delusion that the Obama administration caused this oil rig catastrophe. They didn’t.
It was BP equipment partly installed by Halliburton.
You may think the President can miraculously part the seas of oil to fix this situation – but trust me – this like the EXXon Valdez will take YEARS to clean up.
And with so much of this impacting on marshlands – even the experts are baffled but what the correct approach should be.

Obama’s not up for reelection in November, but Congress is.
So: Knaw on Obama for a bit, to deflect anger away from Congress shortly before the upcoming election, as well as stocking up on talking points about how the MSM is “fair and unbiased”, then start to pump him back up the day after the Nov. election. Nice, simple and effective.

d. Telling West Point graduates that he wants a world governance.
e. kissing up to muslims by refusing to call islamic terriorism what it is

He cracks down on the middle class – the law abiding tax paying whom he considers subjects in his regime. His IRS has audited at a rate 300% above normal. His census is a Nazi-like info-gathering attempt. He has outspent all previous presidents in one year. He is big brother, he is a traitor and he is a little man child moron figurehead empty suit that acts childish and thin skinned because he is uneducated. Sure he was indoctrinated with progressive trash, but given what he says and thinks he is a stupid uneducated failure of a man that could not hunt, grow food for himself, even change his tire. He knows nothing of math, history, physics or chemistry, his ideas are idiot Alinsky eructations, his speech capabilities without a teleprompter is pathetic and he is one of the stupidest people to ever grace the Office of the President.
And this moron man child Otraitor looks like the thin skinned loser. He is a disgusting man and a communist rat that will rot in hell.

Yet it’s Obama who drags out “the family” at every turn when he needs sympathy. Are we to bleep out any of his speeches where he drags out the family yet again? Dragging out the “girls” to try to bring phony tears to the eyes of a non-sympathetic American public is Obama hiding behind little girls’ skirts.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of folks such as those who made him their president.

This guy has shattered our Alliances, while our Enemies coalesce. All around the world, the BAD GUYS are on the March. NO-ONE fears us. Weakness is a PROVOCATION.
WHO would do everything in his power, to WEAKEN the one Country that STANDS ALONE against all the EVIL in the world?
Revelations 13-5.

Well, that was a lackluster press conference. Looks like he got his excuse to curtail drilling. But it’s cool, those of us in Nashville will finally see the most magnificent one after our disaster, from over 45,000 feet as he flies over. I think that he will manage to turn a Blue district in Nashville Red after not mentioning a word about us, much less coming to the city. Way to go O! When the city that went full on for you during your last time tells you to kiss off, you can look in the mirror and see the reason. I am pretty sure that you have just done the same for all those voters on the coast as well. I can only hope that the democratic congressmen pay for you lack involvement as well. I certainly hope it brings down Jim Cooper (D) of Nashville.
You see “The One” can’t be bothered with us little people and it’s only after LA. was going to become a problem politically that it went to the top of his head. I was not and am not a Bush fan, can you say Patriot Act? But I do agree with the Republicans in their point that if this had been Bush, there would be a 24-7 hue and cry. Oh and by the way, speaking of the Patriot Act, who’s the cute little President and Congress who made it permanent? You got it! All hail the “O”!

This dude is the most inept President America has ever had. What, exactly, had this guy ever accomplished before we fools made him president? Has he ever been responsible for anything other then himself before that? No, and it shows. From the Space Program to Health Care, Everything he touches turns to schista. The bumbling fool is way out of his league. God protect our Nation until we can get him out of there.

I am so done listening about GWB and his ranch…I know it is hard for some people to understand but…….a ranch requires WORK!!!! Thousands of acres do not take care of itself!! Unlike having a house in the suburbs where you get someone to mow the grass every other week!!

Obama: “My job right now is just to make sure everybody in the Gulf understands: This is what I wake up to in the morning, and this is what I go to bed at night thinking about. The spill,”
Hey! ObamaCommie! IT IS *NOT* YOUR JOB TO TELL US WHAT WE SHOULD “UNDERSTAND!”
Obama has plenty of time to assist illegal aliens.
OBAMA HAS ZERO TIME FOR THE NASHVILLE FLOODS.
Obama has plenty of time for photo ops with basketball teams.
OBAMA HAS ZERO TIME FOR THE GULF OIL DISASTER.
Obama has 2 days to raise funds for Barbra Boxer.
Now, he wants to tell us what we should “understand!”

Let’s hear no complaaining…all thru the campaign, he was called a “rock star”. That’s what you wanted, that’s what you got. Next time, focus on capabilities.

Timothy said: “You just don’t know the facts!” So stop regurgitating what you’ve all heard on Fox News, Fox and Friends,
In other words…pay no attention to that foolish man behind the screen.
Thanks Tim, for showing us just who the fool is. ;o)

So Obama’s doing all this other stuff besides plugging the hole. The Federal Government is not set up to handle every possible crisis but Obama claims to have been there from day 1 (we’re not seeing any proof of that). His lack of experience and leadership is shining through, really brightly.
The American people won’t stand for this.

Worst president ever. At least when he’s on vacation he’s not screwing up something else.

When James Carville – one of the most rabid defenders of the Democratic Party – goes on the air and basically calls the President incompetent, you know it’s bad.

I am waiting to see billboards of Jimmie Carter saying “miss me yet?”
Can someone please tell me how many weeks he has spent 5 days in the Oval office? How many weeks he has not campaigned for someone? How many full weeks he has not been on TV about something?
He is overexposed.
Granted he is the President, but how many weeks of vacation does he get? I have nothing against presidential travel but maybe it is time to put a limit on the number of hours the President can use AF1 for campaigning/vacation/travel other than that required to perform his job. –Why he had to visit a solar panel factory (and cause all the workers to have to take a vacation day), I don’t know.

Everybody off the road!! A car accident might happen! All air traffic grounded!!
There might be a crash!! Don’t step in that bathtub!! You might fall!!

Who the hell is this person? No one seems to remember him from all his schools! And here he is “representing”
the US. The guy is on a perpetual “vacation” at our expense.
Since he said he was taking full responsibility for the Gulf
spill. Then my question is:
Since he screwed this up
should he be “:fired” read
impeached for malfeasance?Time to stiop talking and take action.

They put McCain in as a Stooge? That’s because John McCain is a “STOOGE”!

“The guy is on a perpetual ‘vacation’ at our expense”
I’d like to point out that your party’s last president, George Bush spent *879 days*, or 30% of his Presidency, vacationing or on his Crawford Ranch. This shatters all previous records.
Control yourself. You’re hypocrisy is showing.

Good Lord…I have never seen such hatred directed toward a sitting President in all my life!
The mess we are dealing with originated in the last ten years. John McCain must be saying, Whoa…I dodged a bullet!
The list of damage to this country from the Bush/Cheney gang is legend.
Obama has done nothing to compare to that administration’s actions. Where were these people as Bush gang racked-up this mess? Where were they when we needed such indignation!
Let this President govern…we are fortunate to have a President during such a tumultuous time. Wow…the 24/7 Right-Wing Propaganda is clearly showing!

Maybe I missed it…..is Chicago (…we ain’t been there in a whole year…) superceding a short trip to Arlington National Cemetery on the morning of Memorial Day to pay the respects normally paid our fallen by the Commander-in-Chief?…or is this tribute, too, more of the “Change” we should expect from this one termer?

ADRIAN, ADRIAN…cool your jets, will you…I get my misinformation from the same place as you do……the big merry-go-round on the Potomac we call the White House…….hey, a press conference …first in over a year, and it took a disaster to schedule one…what the hell, this is “Change,” isn’t it?…and don’t tempt me with lines like using a finger! …….have a nice Memorial Day Weekend….one of the rare times when the Commander-in-Chief is a no-show at the Arlington National Cemetery, or so it appears………”Change,” I guess.

President Bush and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates bow their heads in prayer at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery, 26 May 2008. President George W. Bush addresses the Nation on Memorial Day 2008.
No true commander & Chief would deliver such a blow of public dishonor to his men by neglecting to uphold his duty to officiate at America’s Traditional Memorial Day Ceremonies at Arlington Cememtary. Barrack Obama is a disgrace to America.

It is truly amazing to me to hear people speak of President Obama as inept and that he is the worst President we have ever had. That type of talk is just non-sense. Where were these same people when George Bush was President? Did they all sleep through his 8 years as President? President Obama came into office with a terrific mess on his hands, but to hear people talk, he came into a great situation and then everything went south. That is truly not the case, our previous administration created many of the problems and ignore them. President Obama is doing a good job under very trying conditions. The bigots, racist and so-called conservatives of this country, will never give him a chance, no matter what he does. That is a reality. All I can say is good thing John McCain did not win, he would have been another George Bush and our Country probably would now be in total collapse.
