From Sunlen Miller:

President Obama is hosting Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for a day-long visit at the White House today.  After the two presidents huddled this morning in a private Oval Office meeting and then an expanded meeting in the Cabinet Room, it was lunch time.

The American president took his counterpart for an American meal: a hamburger at Ray’s Hell Burger in Arlington, Virginia.

Both leaders ordered cheeseburgers – Mr. Obama’s with onions, lettuce, tomato and ‘bread and butter’ pickles along with an iced tea. Medvedev’s burger: onions, jalapenos and mushrooms, with a Coca-Cola.  The two leaders shared fries and ate together at a table with a roll of paper towels for napkins. The president explained to Medvedev that Ray’s burgers are “messy” to eat.

This is Mr. Obama’s second visit to Ray’s – he ate there last year with Vice President Biden.
