My only problem is that he apologized. He said what he meant, now he should stand by it. This article has only made public what a lot of us believe anyway.

hopefully, your kidding..its ridiculous the reporter didn’t separate the wheat–the everyday presence & extraordinary efforts of military professionals in less than optimal circumstances, from the shaff –shop talk venting;
-(I’m sure the politicos’ everyday presence & extraordinary efforts in washington do similar venting from their perspective-yet other reporters would see the obvious difference and not just publish shaff for a story.
… if you all want some lessons in shop talk venting, come stop by the automotive shop where my son works & manages for the owner, his boss(who also works) … thats if you can stand the heat !!! of some remarks that would make ” … Joe biden …do you mean bite me” seem like sunday prayers ….
and where at the end of the day … the job gets better than accomplished …
and automobiles/trucks are back on the road again

The problem here lies in the media’s need to create “News” in the first place. In no way should this ever be reported and really isn’t news. I’d find it virtually impossible to find an individual who hasn’t spoken poorly about their boss. Secondly, the President isn’t providing the proper support needed for the task at hand in the sand box. It’s been obvious from the start of this administration that there isn’t really any grasp of how to govern in any capacity. It’s also glaringly obvious that the President doesn’t handle criticism well. I honestly hope McChrystal rips the “Chosen One” a new ass. We don’t need a political lapdog running a war.

This shows total disrepect on the Gen. Mchrystall’s part. Not only is the tasteless, its actually harmful to the morale of the troops. To me his statements were unamerican!
If I was Obama, I would send for him, and fly him back in Coach class, with a least two lay overs, and have him wait in the airport with civilians, and gawk and stare at him while he waits for his connecting flight. Then, I would call him into the office, dimiss all staff and anyone in the vicinity, with the exception of secret service, and lay it in to him.
Believe me you, he would definitely be kissing my ass before I dismissed him back over to Afghanistan, back in coach!

Sorry to say, but the General must go! Regardless your political affiliation, whether you agree or not, policy decision are not to be second guessed, especially in public via ridicule by military personnel. The Commander And Chief(President)sets policy, subordinates are charged with carrying out those policies, period!

I hear ya TV.
FYI, I’m fairly conservative but I am not a Republican.
Actually I’m a registered Democrat but really I’m an Independent.
From my perspective the democrats in power are awful close to progressives and the policies that are being pushed are possibly detrimental to our republic and anti-constitution. The chasm is too wide to compromise on often these days. Democrats should act like Democrats but they should take a hard look at Obama’s agenda and ask themselves if the Party really wants to go down that road.
