Please Pass This Bill!!!! I have a little child I need to be able to take care of her. You Republicans are being so ignorant right now. You are causing so much more damage then help right now. Love the home tax credit, smart idea when the money was never there in the first place. Many homes being purchased this past year and being tooken away within the first year. So SMART!! PASS THIS BILL!

The Senate doesn’t want to pass the extension for unemployment because they think that it will help with the debt problem in America??? People living on welfare is going to help how? My husband went to college and he is unemployed and I lost my job because the business shut down unexpectedly. We have been looking for jobs everywhere. I no longer have my unemployment and can no longer pay for my mortgage, car, insurance, medical debt, credit cards, and cannot even cloth or feed my family. We just bought a house alittle over a year ago, we are going to end up losing everything and needing help. The Senate does not want to pass this bill or don’t even care to discuss the situation because they are set for life and they don’t care about the other americans that run this country. The Senate should pass this bill and get payed less til the economy picks up! Why do they make so much money and get awesome benefits? It’s not even right…America is in a crisis right now but they can make a boat load of money and take a week break because of the 4th of July? Sure we have all payed taxes so you can just take a week long break when millions are freaking out because we don’t know how to pay our bills. Many of us didn’t choose to be jobless!

On the may 4, 2010 page # A4 of The Wall Street Journal, there is an article entitled Lawmakers Bet on Stock Falls, it interesting how many Republican Senators bet on the stock market falling, just google senators and stock market falling, or senators and Goldman Sachs, senators and Bank of America.
Personally I wonder how many senators, especially on the republican side make money from the child porn industry, and as I recall, there is a reason for my wondering about this.

OMG! there goes my pets!!! I have tried to hang in there! I have lost my vehicle, house and now pets..How can I feed them? How can us unemployed go on interviews that are 300 miles away? I cannot pay my car insurance tags or anything. I had an interview 300 miles away and now I have to cancel it. All the unemployed will be in jail that cannot pay car insurance. This decision is stupid.

because of the scarcity of jobs,congress should create a welfare system for american workers who have lost their jobs at no fault of theirs.this wlefare system should pay a total of 100 dollars a week with no strings attached.
moreover -i understand how badly people are hurting but if they did not achieve employment for two years chances are they have not changed their job search criteria..which means they are not trying hard enough and have too much of self pride to work for a cleaning service or burger king.frankly their hard those who are being picky about what they want and feel if they are collecting 400 dollars a week in unemployment compensation why work for a minumum wages job which they would recieve less .therefore-congress shoul not keep extending benefits for those who have been collecting it for 99 weeks but encourage them to get on welfare.lasty they have to get the deficit under control…no exception

Pass the bill, take money out of our checks when we go back to work, I would pay it back, right now, this is 15 million people unemployed, we will remember this come voting time.
There should be a red alert level that automatically pays when unemployment hits a certain criteria, LIKE NOW.

I agree that politicians need a reality check!!! This is absolutely ridiculous when someone who has worked for the past 35 years steady, and never needed any kind of assistance, can’t even collect the benefits they are entitled to and paid for with their taxes!!! What is wrong with those idiots??? I would love to see any of them in our shoes, and still vote no. I have been unemployed for 1 year, and have been collecting unemployment for about 11 mos. I am actively searching for a job every day. I have gone thru all my savings and 401K to continue paying mortgage, car payments and put food on the table for my family. If we can spend billions of dollars supporting and recontructing other countries, we can certainly extend our EUC benefits for our own citizen who are in need during this terrible economy, which by the way, we didn’t create. Those fat cats in Washington need to seriously learn how the average person lives in this country, and it isn’tby receiving kick-backs and Pay-offs from lobbyists and industries buying our votes.

I am a 59 year old female in California that has worked since I was 14. This is disgusting. I cannot advance to even the next tier of benefits that are out there without Congress. What are they thinking….THERE IS NO WORK FOR SENIORS…ESPECIALL BETWEEN 50 AND 65…SO UNLESS YOU PASS EARLY SOC SEC…WE ARE ALL SCREWED! PASS THE DAMM BILL ALREADY
