ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: After a full weekend at the G8 and G20 meetings in Canada, President Obama has no formal or public events on his schedule today.  Late morning Mr Obama will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. In the afternoon, the president will receive the Economic Daily Briefing then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. Mr. Obama's nominee for Supreme Court justice, Elena Kagan, will begin her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee today. At a press conference yesterday in Toronto, President Obama fired back at critics who have called her a politically motivated liberal. “As I examine some of the arguments that have been floated against her nomination over the past several weeks, it’s pretty thin gruel,” Mr. Obama told reporters. The president told both Democrats and Republicans to bring on the questions, saying they should, “ask her tough questions, listen to her testimony, go  though the record, go through all the documents that have been provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee and then vote their conscience.” -Sunlen Miller
