Among President Obama's regular rounds of morning meetings, Mr. Obama will also be briefed this morning on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, in the Oval Office, according to the White House.

In late morning President Obama will travel to Wheaton, Maryland, to the Holiday Park Multipurpose Senior Center where he will hold what the White House is dubbing "a national tele-town hall meeting" on health care.

In advance of the first mailing of the $250 "donut hole" rebate checks, the president will sit down with senior citizens to discuss the efforts to combat scams and fraud within the Affordable Care Act.

Back at the White House in the afternoon, Mr. Obama will hold a private meeting in the Oval Office with Senator Dorgan of North Dakota.

In the evening the president and first lady will host the annual picnic for members of Congress at the White House.
