But businesses still not turning profits to jobs. Harold Meyerson says it’s time for another intervention.

Certainly not “junk”, even if they weren’t created by Adams, and the images shown, would indicate another photographer.
Still, they are quality images, just the same (just not in Adams style), and will have value to those who recognize that they were taken by a highly skilled photographer of the era.

This was an exciting find. Even if they aren’t the work of Ansel Adams, they’re beautiful photos worthy of preservation.

Ansel Adams’ grandson wants carbon dating to test the age of the photos. Good luck! Carbon 14 has a half life of 5770 years. The photo is only 80 years old. I guess no significant amount of C14 has decayed enough for testing.

It is remarkable that the same set of photographs would be worth a great deal if certified as authentic and worth zilch (practically) otherwise. As earlier posters have said, what about the intrinsic quality of the images?
Picasso once refused to autograph a doodle he had done over dinner, as a waitress had requested, commenting that signed it would be worth much and unsigned nothing.

Adams used the Zone System to calculate his exposures. The deep blacks, crisp whites, and every gray tone in between looks like the work of the great Adams or Weston.
