Obama Calls Malia’s New Braces Good ‘Because She Was Starting To Look Too Old’

From Sunlen Miller and Clayton Sandell

Malia Obama might be a little mad at her dad when he gets home tomorrow from his overnight trip to Missouri and Nevada. Her dad said that her new braces are a good thing, because she was starting to look too old.

“I don’t have teenagers yet Malia just turned 12,” Obama told the crowd, “She’s my baby.  Even though she’s 5’9″ now she’s still my baby.  And she just got braces which is good because you know she looks like a kid.  She was getting you know she was starting to look too old.”

The president brought up his oldest daughter, who just turned 12 on the 4th of July, during a campaign speech for Robin Carnahan in Kansas City. The president stopped himself and then added, “But, I digress,” and got back to his speech.

On another family note from today’s duel fundraisers, the president divulged that backstage before the event he met one of his cousins that he had not ever met before.

“Just met a cousin I never met before. I did. Nice person, nice family,” the president said, reminding the crowd that his mother was from Kansas.

The White House does not have the permission to give out the name of the president’s cousin – but they confirm that it was a “distant cousin” from Kansas who came in for the event, and took a picture with the president.

This from the president who quite rightfully wants his children to be off-limits? Please give your head a shake, Mr. President. Try to stay glued to your teleprompter to avoid such awkward “digressions” in future.

Racist bigoted Sara, where do you think they got the slaves from Africa. From rival tribes turning them over. And FYI those were African American traders LOL! Read a freaking book once in a while, will you!
Besides Barky’s getting a few gray hairs. That’s what happens when you wake up every morning deciding what peice of the country or it’s people you want to give away, for your peice of silver.

Um, no. That’s what happens (to many men) when you’re in your late 40s. Normal aging process. Read a freaking book once in a while, will you! ;-P

I still can’t believe we have a President who is as smart, articulate, and ethical as our Obama. He makes me happy.

Hay ABC, what Daddy haven’t started to realized that his little girl is starting to become a teenager. And they are not quite ready for that. So your headline is full of alot of BULL. My little girl is 13 and we used to watch sports together, toss a baseball every now and then, now she rather twitter her friends, talk about that movie Twilight, and that Patterson guy, talk about what’s the new style, etc., etc. My little girl is growing up too Mr. President. But she is still my baby.

That was just sweet — like the thought that he’d need luck to handle Malia was too weird to even think about, because she’s his baby. A nice, totally genuine digression; most dads like to brag about their kids, and the President’s no exception.

I enjoy seeing the president speak “off the cuff”. He seemed so relaxed. I wish the republicans would stop being so divisive and help the man get on with doing the business of this country.
