ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports:
President Obama is scheduled to spend his entire day in private, closed-door meetings at the White House.
In the morning, the president will receive the presidential daily briefing in the Oval Office and then meet with senior advisors.
First lady Michelle Obama today will travel to the Gulf Coast region for the second time since the April oil spill.
Mrs. Obama will meet with Coast Guard personnel who have been responding to the BP oil spill in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Afterward the first lady will perform duties as the "ship’s sponsor" at the christening of the U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter Stratton (WMSL 752). Stratton is named in honor of Dorothy C. Stratton (1899-2006), the U.S. Coast Guard’s first female commissioned officer and director of the SPARS, Women’s Reserve, during World War II.
