After the release of the full video of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod's remarks — which augmented her argument that her speech had been taken out of context and in fact she'd been preaching against racism — senior White House officials held a conference call with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack Tuesday night.
Afterward, Vilsack released a statement saying,"I am of course willing and will conduct a thorough review and consider additional facts to ensure to the American people we are providing services in a fair and equitable manner."
Vilsack was originally scheduled to attend the National Rural Education Technology Summit today at the National Museum of the American Indian, but at the last minute his name was removed from the official attendees' list.
