Gay and Republican

Our “GMA” and “World News” reports on Ken Mehlman and shifting attitudes towards same sex marriage:

The only attitude that is shifting is the one that ABC News is less and less of a news organization every day.

Acceptance of gay marriage is a tough sell because it is at it’s core a perversion.
Acceptance of gay marriage in America is not a forgone conclusion.
Now if you manipulating media types would stop trying to pollute Marriage by injecting a foreign parasite into it and start calling Gay Unions Garriage then you’d have a chance at acceptance.
Call in management, have a meeting, put on the thinking caps and come up with a better social engineering plan.

Acceptance of gay marriage is not as important as what is happening to our country.
WHY ISN’T OBAMA DOING HIS JOB?
We need a President — not a Campaigner-In-Chief. If he isn’t campaigning — he’s vacationing.
Parties! Good times! Wine! Banquets! Beaches! Money! Laughter! Vacations! Golf! Personalized rock concerts at the White House! High fashion! Hollywood types fawning all over you!
Meanwhile, the rest of us are broke, unemployed, or on the battlefield.
Democrats have controlled Congress since 2006. This is the most corrupt administration in American history. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the other liberals in Congress, along with the biased media, based the entire 2008 campaign on lies. They have no problem governing AGAINST the will of the American citizens.

Why so much coverage on this gay Republican and gay marriage? There is a significant majority of Americans who would rather the gays stay in the closet and stop pushing their agenda on the rest of the country.

You guys are both idiots. Bob it’s freedom of religion. Aren’t we fighting a war to free Iraq? Obviously you have no tolerance for anyones views other then yours. Stop being afraid. There not pushing anything on us. They just want to be treated equal. Your comment about staying in the closet is just ignorant.
@East Coast – you cant complain about rh news coverage when fox news is the biggest media outlet. If I hear you right your complaining that other media outlets have a different view then fox and it makes you angry. Get over it ,or go post on Fox News website.
Obviously you think the will of the people matter. Were not a democracy buddy. Were a republic. Elect officials that have your views then. Don’t throw stats on the will of the people. You wanna hear mine, bush had an approval rating of 23%. Why didn’t he resign, the will of the people did not like him.
Boy, we have 1 person that wants to keep gays quiet and not express freedoms they have. And another that think because people don’t approve of something it should be changed.
You both belong on the fox news website instead of the free thinkers on abc, NBC, and CBS.

Hey JJ, try some free thinking yourself.
I’m not opposed to Garriage, if two guys want to get Garried that’s OK with me. What is offensive is this push to try and make Garriage the same as Marriage, this push to try and “normalize” something that isn’t normal. We all can accept it but we shouldn’t treat it as the same because it isn’t.

If a gay ran against Obama, I would vote for him/her, no questions asked..

@dontget818 – “If a gay ran against Obama, I would vote for him/her, no questions asked” …That’s what’s wrong with this country now!

It is important to remember that the National Parties, and there chief fundraisers/controllers, need to have “dirt” on Congressmen. Hence it is very beneficial for any perversions, addictions, corruption, etc to remain hidden. This way they tow the party line and vote as instructed–often even against thier constituents’ will or view! These are two separate issues. It would help society, and the Republic, if Congressmen’s lifestyles were exposed. Then we know who we are voting for and blackmail is taken away. This is a separate issue from gay “marriage”, however.

Ken Mehlman, for the novices, is a reason BushCheney won in 2004. So for you in foreclosure, underemployed, unemployed, drained of your savings…this guy got conservatives to the polls by making them think the most important thing in the world to fear was gays getting married. He was willing to do to people of his persuasion – and himself – what otherwise happens. So the fact he is just now coming out, long after the damage he wrought has played out, is still significant. Like with so much of the Bush years, fear was used to get a result favorable to the republicans. Fear of gay marriage.

I have an idea! Since the idea of people being in gay relationships is held up in “normalcy”, how about we get some “real” homosexual television shows on. I’m thinking primetime would be good. And let’s not just show the funny gay guys who like to go shopping and decorate and stuff like that…let’s show them as the couple they are. After all, we show heterosexual couples in the bedroom, right? So what would be so wrong showing Fred and Jack having a romp or two. Let’s show it all! The kissing, hugging, groping, rubbing… and then, the family can sit down and discuss why 2 men are doing those things together. What a great Friday night viewing that would be!! I think I’ll contact Disney and plug the idea. They’ll be tickled to show something “normal” on TV for a change. Why didn’t I think of this sooner?

Oh, so we’re seeing lots of heterosexual groping and rubbing on prime-time family television? Excellent, let the family sit down and discuss both then.

I agree with Noz. ABC news falsely interpreted the the polls response to mean that a majority now favor state licensing of homosexual unions when most respondents were probably saying that they didn’t care if gays live together and call it marriage. There is a big difference. No matter what we think of active homosexuality, we don’t really care about what they do in their private lives as long as they don’t ask us to approve it. When the government licenses same sex unions, there is some notion that it will result in societal acceptance of active homosexuality, but it will never happen. It’s the act, stupid – it’s insane.
