With Wife and Daughters Away, Obama Has His Boys Over

ABC’s Tahman Bradley reports:

With first lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha in Spain and Malia away at camp, President Obama will have a few friends over at the White House Sunday to help him continue his birthday celebration. There will be a barbecue at the White House on Sunday for the president and his friends.

Today, Obama is out playing golf with a few buddies in town from Hawaii and Chicago.

The president turned 49 on August 4.

Nice to have the boys over. I’m sure Janet Napolitano an Elena Kagan will enjoy the White House party. Barrack might feel “out-manned” though. Please spare me the homophobic, racist retorts. A little humor never hurt anyone.

Jake Tapper, ABC News, and the rest of the media/political establishment – All of you should be hung out to dry. You created Obama, refused to do any background checks into him, refuses to report the breathtaking corruption, cronyism, taxpayer dollar theft, and unconstitutional violations this out of control leftist administration has done. Obama is destroying this country and we are on the way of becoming Zimbabwe. To you Obama kool-aid drinking trolls who’ll slam this post and say that it’s Bush’s fault – I DID NOT support Bush except for the war. But Bush would never have done a fraction of the crap that Barry is doing. If he did, the same liberal media that smeared him and is now smearing Palin would have ran him from office. Shame on you liberal media. Shame, shame, shame.

The Boys probably are more pleasant to be with than Michelle, who only recently is proud of her country!
She’s very proud we pay for her garbs and trips!

Mrs. Obama still seems very bitter for some reason. If bitterness is deep inside, no amount of money, power or vacation can heal it.

This is a shame. This President is the worst President EVERRRRRRR. I NEVER want to hear how he is the “hardest working President” everrr. NEVER WANT TO HEAR IT AGAIN. Giving speeches and beer summits and reading teleprompters and hosting parties and flying around on our dime does NOT MAKE HIM THE HARDEST WORKING PRESIDENT. EVERRRRRRRRR.

Hey, rubes, whatcha’ complaining about? He is exactly what he was before the election…an elitist Marxist who believes, as did the Soviet politburo types, the proletariat should be made equal and the rulers should be compensated
extra for doing the redistribution for you.
I have to say, this Barry Obama could sell ice water to Eskimos. Fore!

Posted by: Dantes | August 7, 2010, 7:17 pm 7:17 pm

Sorry, Jake. You and your liberal elitist pals in the media created the embarrassment we now have for a president because of your kool-aid quaffing adoration for the bungling dolt who now sits in the White House. Too little, too late. Next time try doing your job.

Posted by: cobia hunter | August 7, 2010, 7:19 pm 7:19 pm

Boy oh boy. I haven’t been paying as close attention to the news as I usually do, but it looks like the neo-cons who have nothing better to do on nice summer days will complain about anything.
Pathetic.
I’ve got news for your right-wingers. Just because most of us who voted for Obama and the Democrats the last two cycles have not been adamant in our support recently, does not mean we are giving it to the Republicans.
We will not reward the Republicans for what they did the previous 8 years, and then try to prevent the Democrats and Obama from fixing the mess.
While we are not ecstatic with the present situation, or some of the Obama/Democratic policies, in November we will not vote Republican.

Posted by: Dave Dial | August 7, 2010, 7:35 pm 7:35 pm

AND THE BAD NEWS IS DEMOCRATS HAVE CONTROLLED CONGRESS SINCE 2006.
OBAMA AND THE LIBERALS IN CONGRESS HAVE NO PROBLEM SPENDING “OUR” MONEY ON LAVISH PARTIES AND JETSETTING AROUND THE WORLD, WHILE AMERICANS ARE SUFFERING.
Obama is having friends over for a White House birthday bash. How much will this cost American taxpayers???
Michelle Obama is vacationing in Spain. She has reportedly reserved “60 ROOMS” for five nights at the luxurious 5-star Villa Padierna in glitzy Marbella for “40 FRIENDS” — PLUS her security detail.
WHY ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS BEING FORCED TO PAY FOR THIS?
WHY ISN’T OBAMA DOING HIS JOB?
THIS IS THE MOST CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

Poor Dave Dial,he was born with a silver sense of entitlement in his mouth.Who cares if the hard leftist free-thinkers-in-lockstep won’t vote liberals out?We never expected you to wise up.It will be conservatives and independents that vote after thinking about the people who have run congress since 2006.Remember,the bulk of the ruinous spending has come in the last 4 years, most of it in the last 18 months. The vote doesn’t necessarily mean a republican resurgence, remember that Graham,Snow,Collins, and McCain are republicans. The vote in november will be a CONSERVATIVE resurgence. It’s real,it’s not going away, and will be the biggest turnover in recent times. For the liberals,be like Obama and enjoy your last few weeks of power. It will only remind the people of what needs to be changed, and will be changed.

I would love to know all the proof you all have to show that Michelle and Barack are spending the tax payers money on their vacation! Michelle takes her first major vacation, and their is all this fuss about money, money, money! For God sakes grow up! I recent saw on the news that Jackie O did the same as Michelle and recieved fuss about it from the citizens and the media. Leave him alone unless you have a sure solution to our economic crisis!

The economy goes further down the toilet, and the first family plays. Michelle and daughter travel and spend money, stimulating foreign ecomomies.
The president plays golf and Americans continue to lose jobs.
He says he cares, but they clearly don’t

Posted by: Greg10 | August 7, 2010, 11:49 pm 11:49 pm

Do folks still think waste, corruption, and duplicity are confined to a particular political party? The only two-party system in this country is “the haves and the have nots”. And like John McCain said,if you’re not worth at least five million bucks, you’re one of the “have nots”. Government stopped being ‘for the people’ decades ago. At best, we are the scruffy commoners who catch a glimpse of the royals as they glide by in their gilded carriages. You can be certain that’s pretty much how they view you, regardless of who you voted for.

Well the outrage will only get worse since another vacation is planned for Fla and then 10 days with the rich and famous at Martha’s Vineyard.
It really doesn’t matter what Bush did, or at least it only matters to the Bush haters. What matters is right now with millions unemployed and certainly not able to even think of any vacations. It is sort of like taking salt and rubbing into the wound. It is poor timing, the wrong trips and frankly not to be believed. The nation is being asked to tighten their belt and suffer and it is usually good form for the CEO to lead by example.

wow, I see more & more of Ferdinand Marcos & his wives behavior in the Obamas. Emelda even started a green growing project like mmichelli even though the gov’t owned most of the land.
I’m saying that I don’t think we should consider that michelli is paying for a standard commercial 1st class ticket should be used as the wawy to show she is paying her own way. The jet was $188,000 – the rooms are $5,500 (oh but I think she is paying a portion of that too, like the cost of renting a broom closet.) We all know how Ferdinad Marcos could keep his wives spending under contol all over the world & don’t forget her 3000 pairs of shoes. Which reminds yesterday I saw photos of Michelli changing shoes for the camera. It make me think of the Marcos’ and how they burned money as their country fell into squandor.
If you are an obama fan – good for you – enjoy it while it lasts because soon your taxes will be going up substanially. Of course according to you it is paying for much needed-well deserved trips around the world to cure aids, bring water to Africa, NOT!

The haters, the jealous, oh maybe president Obama an accomplished lawyer, congressman and millionaire author is only now affording a bbq from taxpayers huh! Give us a break! Mr President work hard and play hard as you have for this nation

Posted by: Fields | August 8, 2010, 9:31 am 9:31 am

Mr. President’s work has us into debt so far that by credit card minimum payment standards would require 520 billion dollar per year payments for 50 some years, with a balanced budget as well. Obama only has a 164 billion dollar interest only payment budgeted and and 67 billion of that is borrowed money. So please Mr. president just play golf, no more work, PLEASE!
By The way, the debt commission won’t share its bleak news until after the mid-term election, I decided to share a bit of the news early so you can vote Pelosi, Reid and other baddies out of office. It’s your country!

The lavishness of the trip to Spain and the choice of location reeks of a lack of real concern for the American people who are umemployed, loosing their retirement funds and countless other tragedies eminating from an inexperienced President in the White House and a Jackie O wannabe. Had the “ladies and daughters” gone to Michigan or DisneyWorld or San Antonio or California or Wyoming (oops too close to Cheney) I think it would have been better received because they would have been supporting America and Americans. Someone should alert Obama that the campaign ended two years ago and the workload isn’t being managed well. Someone who doesn’t have any real experience running a state or a company regardless of race, religion, etc should never be elected President no matter how smart intellectually. We have real crises here in America and need a real leader not just a performer in the role.

you would think in these dire times the best leadership would be by example.what i have seen of this president is the furthest from what i would have expected. everyone needs a vaction but whats wrong with staying america? spend time in hard hit american cities instead of spain. its been one thing after another. i have been somewhat of a liberal independent my whole life until this administration.we are witnessing the destruction of america and american values. forget about jobs, the anti business enviorment comming from this group wont encourage anyone to hire. in fact we are all hoarding because of the the fear that nancy and obama are going to yake it away and give it to those who dont make an effort. i laid off 20% of my workforce this summer. we just cant hang in there. even with obama care our health care premiums went up 93%. take a hike, homey wont play this game anymore. im gonna sit on butt and collect my unemployment and my social security.

There’s just too much needless complaining about the Obamas’ vacations.
As long as the President to be as productive as he has been so far, I plan to vote for him. I have never seen such a hard-working president.
Some examples of critical times in the USA when Bush was vacationing:
During his month-long August 2001 Crawford vacation spent agonizing over stem cell research, the CIA briefed Bush on the its now legendary pre-9/11 PDB, “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.’ Bush’s response? “All right. You’ve covered your ass, now.”
As Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, Bush nevertheless decided to continue his vacation. As New Orleans was inundated, Bush strummed a guitar with country singer Mark Wills and shared a birthday cake with John McCain on an Arizona airport tarmac. While Bush eventually cut short his trip, the damage to the nation – and his presidency – was done.
As Israel and Hezbollah went to war in southern Lebanon in July 2006, President Bush managed to stay in Washington. But as the carnage escalated, Bush used the time in the office to welcome the finalists of American Idol to the White House.

From HuffingtonPost December 2008
ARTTICLE: Bush Enjoys Vacation As Middle East Crisis Escalates
“…While Bush has been briefed on the situation by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, he has opted not to interrupt his final vacation as president to make a public statement on the crisis. For someone who has enjoyed the most vacation days as sitting president — including days spent relaxing in comfort during Hurricane Katrina and in the lead-up to 9/11 — it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Bush prioritizes vacationing over crisis management…”

Posted by: gk | August 8, 2010, 6:56 pm 6:56 pm

The Obama’s sure do enjoy the perks of the presidency. She jets off on her private airplane Air Force Two and he jets off on his private airplane Air Force One. Can’t they stay in DC and stop this extravagant spending? Taxpayers will be reimbursed about $14,000 for the $178,000.00 cost for the flight to Spain.
The Obama’s are living high on the taxpayers dollar. It’s time to stop the parties and act mature. Nobody needs to travel halfway across the country just to celebrate his birthday, especially when it costs citizens dearly, yet the Obama’s show no consideration whatsoever.

Posted by: AZGranny | August 8, 2010, 8:05 pm 8:05 pm

Smart move by Obama to keep a low profile with his birthday party. After all who knows when and where he was born. Michelle, who is the president since she wears the pants, is very helpful in the cover up by diverting all attention by vacationing lavishly in Spain and by pretending to sleep in 50 different beds.
Wow, those folks know how to pull the wool over our eyes. The reported accounts are like the stories reported about what happens when white trash wins a 5 million lottery ticket.

Why is this a story? These manufactured stories are nothing more than baiting the bloggisphere to create drama. Everything this President does is scrutinized. How many times was Bush’s trips to Texas, phone calls to Daddy, trips to Camp David and anytime he went running or golfing a top story? His daughters’ arrests and underage drinking, barely got a head line. At least this President is making an effort to stop the horrendous slide from the previous administration while he’s having some down time. Not working the ranch and letting the Vice President run the country into oblivion. As I recall the Iraq war was in full force, the economy was tanking at record speed, houses were being foreclosed on and unemployment was escalating at a tripled pace as to what it is now. Barbara and Jenna traveled to Africa in the midst of the abysmal Bush years.Come on…

PaulD, get your facts right. This country was in debt before President Obama came to office. Everyone couldn’t stand President Bush, they said “he was not smart enough, he put the country in a tail spin by claiming WMDs, he didn’t move fast enough when the World trade centers went down, he is the worst president, unemployment is high because of Bush”, etc. and now President Obama is in office and we have the same rhetoric. It doesn’t matter who is in office you will have discord amongst the people…so please say something intelligent.
And to all you haters out there,
you people that are complaining about the president, need to close your foolish mouth before you start speaking.
First of all just because the news put info on your screen doesn’t mean it is the whole truth. For instance, by the President having friends and basketball players over doesn’t mean you really know what went down. The news isn’t telling you why he did that, maybe you should ask the people he was doing it for (military families), also remember that the President doesn’t call the news to let them know what he is doing. People just blab their mouths and as it is a history of this country, in order to get good ratings they have to exaggerate the story or tweek it a bit. so, I suggest to all haters out there, go check and see what he has done to protect the american people. Protection from the greed of the banking system, Insurance companies, real estate/housing market, car industry, etc. Every President that has become president has never been liked until a new one shows up. I don’t like every thing he is doing, but I see that he is trying to work for the people and that has been his motive from day one. So people, stop sounding ignorant and do something in your community as the president has asked us to do because he can’t do it all.

Barry could sell ice water to Eskimos? Yeah, that’s why Kim Jong IL is behaving, and Achmedinijad respects us so much, and the American public is solidly behind him.
BO DOES have that snarky, sleazy used car salesman side, but most people by now are not liking what they see at all.
And Michelle needs some etiquette training. She appears with the Spanish
royals in a “PTA” outfit, wrinkled skirt, hair smashed down, feet (clad in ssilver flats) and legs splayed open — and to top it off, she has dressed her little girl in a yellow tutu and orange top to meet the King and Queen. I dunno about those folks.
I think most people see them as affirmative action candidates who are
actually doing the country a favor by
demonstrating that affirmative action
hurts, not helps. Those who benefit from it get in over their heads, embaressing themselves and others
42% STRONLY disaprove. He’s a disaster.
