George’s Must-Reads: GOP ‘Identity Crisis,’ But Delaware Race ‘Far From Over’

User Comments

The primaries have already produced their share of surprises, and I think the electoral season in November will bring more.
The Delaware result is quite astonishing, considering that Mr. Castle
had been for years a fixed political star in that state.
Christine O’Donnell, like the woman who won the Republican primary in Nevada and who will run against Senator Harry Reid, and the wrestling executive in Connecticut, who will be the Republican Senatorial candidate, is not a metropolitan sophisticate, which endears them them to quite a few, even as they are anathema to others. Sarah Palin is their archetype. A seachange may be going on in American politics.

The race is not over, by a long shot. Some people may just get very surprised.

She doesn’t believe in evolution either.
I will not for for anyone on either side of the isle that brings religion to the Gov office with them. Why would I vote for a person that makes decisions based on a fable book. That in itself tells me she and others are living in a non realistic world and I sure do not them deciding for me.

What I find odd is this religious person had such a need to lie…it does not go with someone who constantly brings religion into the picture. She lied about her education and college degree and she continues to lie about the time she ran against Biden saying she almost tied him when in fact she scored the lowest votes of anyone. This is a flaw in her character from muy viewpoint. I would also question who paid all of her debts and made it possible for her to get her diploma? Did she use campaign funds for this…that is what I would like to know?

talmag…unfortunately for america you can look on your side of the isle and ask the same questions of any democrat and get equally or more bizzare answers. i find it ammusing that the liberal media attacks anyone but their own. too bad the same scrutiny wasnt used on obama and his cohorts. by definition anyone who rises to power from chicago should held to a higher standard of scrutiny.i ysed to be a liberal democrat until i made a dime legally and without the use of illegal aliens

“candadai…” evidently you are not a “student of political history” and are unaware of the “meteoric rise and fall” of movements like the “tea party”. They always fall apart when they are faced with the “general election voting electorate” and their lack of “substance, cohesiveness and many times the presence of extremism”. They are only good in “emotional primaries”. That is why they are known as “movements”.

I like it how Media Inc. continues to present TBag candidates as viable in the fall, no problem…
This election is about expected recovery time from the Bush 2007-08 crash which eliminated 500,000 jobs per month, versus the ethnic wedge & fearmongering politics of the far right.
You might vote GOP if you think Obama should have fixed it all by now. You might vote against GOP, because of the Big Hate vibe and 0 new ideas.

O’Donnell is not a metropolitan sophisticate but she may surprise the electorate with her folksy opinions. On FOX she said that stem cell scientists have created mice with human brains. Sounds like a sure vote getter.

ANY CLAIMS OF SOCIALISM FOR DEMOCRATS ARE , WITHOUT EVIDENCE, MALICIOUS LIES AND UNCONFIRMED MISINFORMATION. B
BEING LIBERAL AND WANTING TO
HELP POOR, WORKING CLASS AND MIDDLEL CLASS AMERICANS DOES NOT MEAN BEING SOCIALIST OR COMMUNIST.POLITICAL MODERATION DOES NOT PROVE EXTREMISM. ARE ALL RELIGIOUS MODERATE REPUBLICANS NAZIS OR FASCISTS? I DO NOT THINK SO.
