Zero chance for mid east peace. The Palestinians have no desire to make peace. They simply go through the process, to get aid, and sympathy from stupid people, like the US government. We are basically funding Hamas, ourselves. How stupid id that?
There is no such thing as optimism or pessimism. There is only reality or speculation. Pessimism is a term used by those who wear rose-colored glasses, to describe those who don’t. Optimism is the term that realists use, to describe those who live in wishful thinking. Time to stop making fun of realists. They keep us on an even keel.
We can only hope that the Dems lose power in November. If they don’t, this country may go under, financially.

Mr. McDaniel – let us hope that the Democrats do not lose control of the House and Senate in November – should they, we shall return to the policies of the past and an intellect such as yours which is reflective in your comment about Palestine ‘…to get aid, and sympathy from stupid people, like the US government.” A return to GOP government for Israel and Palestine would be a return to the era when Bush was glorified as Israrel’s best friend because of his hands-off policies. How far did that get us? He was hands-off because of incompetence, not because of ideology. Bush promulgated a road map and then misplaced it somewhere under the car, so he couldn’t remember what it enumerated [and I can assure you he didn't know then, doesn't know now and the GOP doesn't either and you want a return to yesterday?]

The Problem I have with the GOP, and their apologists, is their myopic, revisionist, lack of admitting their complicity in our current financial downturn. If you ask any Republican — it is always the fault of the Dems. Never have I heard one of them admit that their Party added any debt to our situation. However, if you Wiki: Presidential debt by Party — You will find the GOP added 12.6% since 1973 and the Dems 10.7%— they have no solutions and admit no complicity!!! As if Obama( Or any President) could have overcome the Greatest Economic Catastrophe since the Great Depression in only 2 years. No, the GOP and their party drunk zombies , would have us believe that replacing Dems with Austerity bridled Republicans, is the answer to all our ills. Though Bush doubled the size, scope, and debt of Govt during his 8 years and left us near total Economic chaos. The Dems are not Great, but the GOP ( and their Party of No) Offer nothing but a return to the very Policies that crashed the Economy in the first place!!!That will be a catastrophe of unparalleled propensity!!!!

Please! This whole argument of: “Daddy she got to get in insurmountable debt… Now it’s my turn… WAAH!!! has got to stop!
When you are digging a hole and you need to turn on a light to see where you are digging… It’s time to STOP digging and extricate yourself from the hole!!!

I dont understand anyone who would not like to return to our 4.9% unemployment under President Bush, without the trillions and trillions of dollars in dept that our children and grandchildren will be paying for because of the present administration and their wild spending.

Diplobamacy…
You get to employ a carrot + stick approach when you are talking. When you isolate, it’s just stick. So the opposite side hardens, and 3rd parties don’t come over to your side of the matter.

At the current level of the national debt it can not be resolved by political lies and tinkering. The debt began to rise when Pelosi and Reid took the reins of congress.
If we went to balanced budgets and applied credit card minimum payment rules to the debt, THE CURRENT DEBT COULD NOT BE AMORTIZED UNTIL BEYOND YEAR 2060. That minimum payment would be over a half trillion dollars per year, $520 billion.
Do the math, call them out and vote them out in November.
