When Mr. Obama was running for president, one of his promises was to stop offshoring of our jobs. 1 local congressional candidate is addressing this issue, again in his campaign, but why is noone touching on this subject and why are companies continuing to offshore jobs. As long as jobs are offshored our economy will not get any better. Where is our government with this issu?

George, couple of simple questions: We hear all of these comments regarding , lets’ putr parties aside & unite this country, when can we expect this to happen , answer should not be pointing fingers at either. 2nd question, regarding health care what happened & where is it after months of discussion ,wasted time, & wasted $$$$$$, would a better solution not have been to simply place everyone on the same program our elected officials are on?
Have a great day & may God bless & keep this great country!!!!

Please remind the public that we need to look at the big picture. We are a nation that always wants instant gratification. Our President has stopped us from a deep depression and he is working on getting us out of a recession. Tell my President Thank You for what he’s done. Everyone needs to know that they are appreciated. God Bless our President.

I don’t know what questions you should ask but I do know in almost every business I visit they play FOX(faux)News 24/7 And every 5 mins they pretty much say “We hate Obama.” When is Obama gonna get someone to vocalize the good that he’s done. And George you are awful at it. Your just as about as negative as faux news. They do spin their view. You should try it to. You let them talk too much.

George, I find it incredible that the president is being so critical of the Republicans. Let’s review. The Democrats took over Congress on Jan/3/01. At that time the Dow was 12,621.77. The GDP was 3.5% Unemployment was 4.6% Bush administration set a record of 52 months straight for job creation. The economic meltdown occurred 13 months later as the Democrats dumped 5-6 trillion dollars of toxic loans on the economy from the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac fiascos. Bush asked the Congress 17 times to stop Fannie and Freddie in 01. Obama took the 3d highest payoff from Freddie and Fannie and then fought against Freddie and Fannie reform.
Why is he now continualy bashing the Republicans for the economic condition. How are we suppose to support him now?

I feel that this is a comment not a question, but I also feel that the president should know that someone still believes in him. When our president took over the position as our president I feel that we as a people haven’t given our president time to turn this terrible economy around, but at least it’s at a stand still. Not only did our political leaders take part in destorying our economy, but we must also take some of the blame because we had our hands in the cooking pot also, by charging people outragous prices because we knew we could. I compare the president’s challenges to a bad marriage, it’s easy to get in it but hard to get out of it and that is what our president has had to face. I feel that it will take time for the economy to heal, but it can’t be done in just one term.It takes time for wounds to heal. We have to look at it this way the president is our doctor and we are his patients. We as patients believe in our doctors, so we must believe in our president. Please, please, please make sure the president gets this.

Please ask the Pres. about the moratorium on offshore drilling. Please do not accept a brief answer on this. I am a Democrat, but cannot support someone who seems to have it out for my beautiful state. The last incident in the Gulf was minor, everything worked as it should have, no oil leak, no lives lost. Ask him why coal mining has been shut down, or flying, etc. I thought he wanted to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. Well, Mr. President, which is it?? Will you be walking everywhere…what does air force one run on?

Posted by: MIchelle Hopkins | September 7, 2010, 8:27 am 8:27 am

When it comes down to everything in general…as in all the whining about the inevitable economic problems, and also the oh so important popularity ratings. My question is what does America want Obama to do about it??? And why don’t we gather ideas and form a solid plan?….

Posted by: Jeff Dickson | September 7, 2010, 8:28 am 8:28 am

George: to correct my previous comment, I meant to say “why coal mining has not been shut down”

Posted by: MIchelle Hopkins | September 7, 2010, 8:30 am 8:30 am

I would like to say thank-you for all the Administration has done to right the economic ship. What frustrates me most about campaign season is that the Republican’s seem to get away with their “one – liners”, and Democrats refuse to hold them accountable. What would they do differently????? Just ask them over and over – they have no answers that are acceptable and they would have to reveal their “scary” hand, a la privatize social security – renew the tax cuts for the wealthy. The Dems are letting the Repubs get a free ride.

Posted by: Rita Akin | September 7, 2010, 8:46 am 8:46 am

President Obama,
You were originally concerned about our dependency on foreign oil.
We have an abundance of natural gas and gas shale here in the U.S. Why are we not going after this natural resource and converting our trucking industry to natural gas?

please ask him if he realizes everytime he points his finger at the repubs and Bush,3 are pointing back! Also, please ask him how far into his term of president does he start taking responsibility? The dems have had control of congress for 3 and a half years, how many more years do they need control before they start taking responsibility? When will his spending end, when will he keep his promise and stop dividing America, when will he stop igniting class war? When will he stop acting condensending toward people who don’t agree with him? when will he start trying to work w/ the republicans? When will he stop only trying to help the unions? When is he going to get tough on terrorist and call them what they are? When is he going to get tough on illegals and call them illegal? Why does he think those who disagree w/ his policies are called racists and when will he publicly tell the american people he doesn’t agree w/ that assessment? When will he release his collage grades and term papers? When will he publicly proclaim his love for America? When oh when will he resign?????????

Please ask Pres. Obama why, when virtually every non-union private sector has had to cut pay and pension contributions, unions are not being forced to do the same? Why is it up to the taxpayers to constantly bail them out while unions are not making any real consessions?

Posted by: TXmom | September 7, 2010, 9:08 am 9:08 am

george why don’t you or any other person in the press like the president? No one ever says anythng about the good that he has done, no one ever says anything about our past presidents who were not on the ball when it came to our economy. the press makes it seem like president obama got in office and just started spending like a mad man. now correct me if i’m wromg but he does need approvel before doing that kink of thing. unlike the second bush who lead the u.s. into war over something that still have not been found. ask the president this why do we the united states of america continue to help other countries with there problems and we have the same problems here in our country?

Posted by: lewis graves jr | September 7, 2010, 9:09 am 9:09 am

your kidding right?! The press doesn’t like Obama? The press doesn’t say anything nice about Obama? OMG! They got the man elected and keep covering for his sorry ars! What more do you people want them to do? They only report on White House approved stories and repeat only White House approved propaganda! Should they wipe his nose and tie his shoes too? Will that be enough for you lemmings?

MR. President, why do we continue to “bail” our companies/and countries that dont want our help nor are willing to pay back a “favor” for us.. debt is debt, no country should “own” us in debt.

I would like to know where and what part of the country are these “so-called” ABC News polls taken from? I’ve never been asked a question about how well the President is doing. I think he’s doing the best he can do given the circumstances under which he took this office. It seems now that President Obama is in office everything is his fault. We’ve somehow forgotten how we got into this mess in the first place…greed, greed and more greed. Take away from the middle class and poor and give to the rich. I don’t think Mr. Obama had anything to do with that. Then there are those wars. Iraq and Afghanistan….whose idea that was?

Posted by: Anna Jenkins | September 7, 2010, 9:32 am 9:32 am

Why so many vacations?
Why so many parties in the White House?
Why do you and Michelle seem so out of touch with the American people?
Why do you and Michelle party and spend lavishly when the American people are hurt by the economy?
You seem like you and Michelle want to spend as much of the taxpayer’s money as you can, because you don’t believe you are going to be in the WH after 2012? Is that correct?

Posted by: Judy | September 7, 2010, 9:37 am 9:37 am

Some how I think you’ll lob softball questions to him, because, well, you are part of the lame stream media that will NEVER question him.
But, here we go:
Mr. President, how does your policies help small businesses? How will increasing their taxes (sunset of Bush’s tax cuts, pending Obamacare, etc.) help them as well as the economy? Without a strong private sector, there is no public sector and entitlement programs. Why are small businesses demonized by this administration? They provide jobs and much needed support throughout their communities, yet all of your upcoming policies tend to stifle their growth big. Also, Mr. President, why should they hire when they don’t know what they will be hit with next? Why should they be confident about the next two years?
Also, you might want to point out to the president that small businesses don’t pay capital gain taxes.
However, knowing you and ABC News, I’m not holding my breath that you’ll actuall ask the questions. Just keep it about their dog, Bo and other trivial issues.

George, I have two questions for the President:
1. What is being done on research for a cure for diseases of the brain like Dementia, LBD, Parkinsons and Alzheimer’s?
2. What about exempting taxes on the first 200,000 of a IRA/401K for those above 65 so we could pay off our mortgage’s and still have some of our savings left to exist?

Posted by: Donald Mc cormick | September 7, 2010, 9:39 am 9:39 am

Please don’t say my name or I could lose my job. I would ask the president if, just this once, he could give us amnesty on our back taxes. I’m being garnished $1000.00 per month by the IRS and state and there is nothing left to pay bills or eat on. I’m doing everything in my power to keep from losing my home. A one time amnesty on taxes would help millions have money to spend to kick start the economy. The penalties and interest are hideous. If he could just remove those I might could survive. Thank you George for all your hard work.

In Feb 09 when the President was pushing the original stimulus bill he said that it was needed in part to save the jobs of teachers , police ,& firefighters . He also sai that it would create “shovel ready” jobs to improve infrastructure . Through out the year he has said that the stimulus “saved” or created jobs and that the “saved’ jobs were those of teachers , police and firefighters . That said , if the $862 billion stimulus did what he said it would , why do we need $28 billion more to “save” teachers, police and firefighters and $50 billion more for infrastructure ?

I’d like to know what happened to all of the promises of Candidate Obama? Especially real foreclosure relief? Real financial reform? Why did he staff his Administration with all of the Wall St. insiders? Why was he so quick to bail out the big banks and still so slow bailing out Main St.? Why is he taking so long to appoint Elizabeth Warren to the new Consumer Protection Agency. Tell him his Progressive grassroots that worked the hardest to get him elected are feeling abandoned. Tell him that he can not ignore us any longer and expect us to be there for him. Let him know that this family of seven with five special needs adopted children could have avoided being homeless if he had kept his promises on foreclosure relief. Tell him that he needs to FIRE Rahm Emanuel, Larry Summers, and Tim Geithner. They are the enemy of Progressives and we are mad as hell. Tell him that George! Tell him I dare him to contact me!

Dear Mr. President: PLEASE MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR COMPANYS TO FORCE A 55+ YEAR OLD TO RETIRE BEFORE THEIR TIME. NO ONE WILL HIRE A PERSON AT THAT AGE. THIS HAPPENED TO MY HUSBAND AT AGE 60. IT SHOULD BE OUTLAWED. PLUS WE LOST A $72K JOB AND REDUCED TO $20K. UNREASONABLE!!!! JUST BECAUSE WE WERE HIGHLY PAID DOES NOT MAKE IT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO GET RID OF A GOOD EMPLOYEE FOR ONE AT 1/2 PRICE. THAT IS WHAT THE UNEMPLOYMENT JUDGE TOLD MY HUSBAND’S PAST EMPLOYER.

George, I’d like you to ask President Obama how, exactly, attacking the aproximately one-half of the Americans who consider themselves Republicans actually moves the country forward? His rabid partisanship and his wimpering everytime his initiatives can’t find ONE supporter on the other side of the aisle are turning off Americans in huge numbers.
Also, if I get a follow-up question – ask him when the non-Union stimulus packages will start flowing out of Washington? Ninety percent of American workforce is non-union, but very-nearly 100% of all stimulus packages were done in support of the 10% minority of union workers.

I believe the greatest thing holding back our economy is uncertainty, I’d ask this President what his administration would do to help provide industry some sense of stability? Waiving employer-side SS contributions for a handful of months (HIRE act of 2010) doesn’t address the fundamental concerns businesses face today – an extension of current tax cuts would go a long way towards providing a sense of stability to many.

Posted by: n2vip | September 7, 2010, 9:51 am 9:51 am

George, I’d like to know why the president thinks construction projects are a better choice than simply removing the big question mark for businesses to get back to growth. Temporary tax credits for new worker hires and the cost effects of the new healthcare law do little for me when making long term decisions on high paying jobs. The looming tax increases with the expiration of the current rates is far more of a concern when making these decisions. In NY (my guess is in many states) 250,000 is not the definition of wealthy for a business owner working around the clock when you make ‘too much’ for every tax break, have a high state and real estate taxes, have kids in college and year after year get hit with the AMT.

Posted by: Harvey Brofman | September 7, 2010, 9:55 am 9:55 am

Ask him why he only has one on one interviews, instead of a press conference with ALL reporters. It would be interesting to see if he can really answer questions that he doesn’t know in advance. We all know if Obama says, “Cut” to ABC, they will stop the camera and let him “re-answer” the question.

All spending originates in the House and has to be agreed to by the Senate – the President can veto, but Congress can override the veto. Having reminded you of that Constitutional fact, let me ask you a couple questions: Who was in control of the House and Senate for the last two years of the Bush’43 presidency (2007 and 2008)? Who’s in control of the House and Senate today? To use the President’s terminology, who was at the wheel when the economy “went into the ditch”? And if the President wants to put someone else in charge of the effort to get US out of the ditch, someone other than the folks that got us into the ditch, does that mean he’s for GOP control of the House and Senate?
The last time we had a Democrat in the White House and Republicans controlling the House and Senate what happened? The Oft-cited (projected) surplus of the Clinton Administration was created…

could have done much with their

Why is Obama in favor of an additional marriage tax by using $200,000 as a threshold for tax increases for single people and $250,000 as a threshold for tax increases for families filing a joint return? Also, why does he continue to compare families making $250,000 with “people like Warren Buffet”?

Posted by: Missing George | September 7, 2010, 10:23 am 10:23 am

I wonder if the President would support at least in spirit, if not in word the following three potential amendments to the constitution.
1) Rights are exclusive to the individual person and in no way shall rights be construed as being extendable in any sense to any institution, assembly, or association. Rights are not transferable, powers of representation maybe granted only through the auspices of the Government or in the case of criminal or civil procedings, and may be withdrawn or revoked at any time as seen fit by the person(s) being represented.
2) There shall be no tax, fine, levie, or other such revenue device that would or could in anyway endanger the life, liberty, pontential for prosperity, or property of any citizen.
3) That citizens be granted the Right to vote NO for any set of Candidates for any term of any office; and if the majority votes NO against a set of Candidates, these Candidates must be excluded from further Candidacy for the term and office for which they were considered, and a new election with a new set of Candidates held expeditiously.

George – please ask President Obama what is being done (or the status of) the estate tax reform. On Jan 1, 2011 it will fall to only $1M protected, which in a lot of areas of the country, won’t even cover the value of an inherited house. Thank you.

Ask him when he had 2 unemployeed people on the grass in front of the white house asking congress to help ALL those on unemployment why where they NOT ALL helped?

Posted by: Shannon | September 7, 2010, 11:02 am 11:02 am

He ran on leadership and integrity, but he has been letting other people run the office of presidency through him. This is what has upset most people.
Now the problems are bigger and leading now may not get him relected, because the fix to–fill in the blank here with– anything from the environment, locally and globally, to foreign affairs, are in a mess.
Only accurate information and courageous leadership based on American’s ability to try new solutions to old problems will work. And Americans need to stop hating everyone in the world, and remember how blessed we are here, and lend the leadership needed in our global community.
“Mr. President” still means something important. I have read his book, and he needs to remember his personal integrity so he can lead.

Cyberbullying is out of control in this country. Children are committing suicide over this sort of thing, but little is being done about companies such as Facebook, My Space, and the worst cyberbullying company I have ever seen called Topix. Attacking another person is a violation of human rights and not what was meant by freedom of speech. What does the President intend to do about that?

Mr. President;
A large segment of our population still suffers government endorsed discrimination in employment. When you were campaigning you promised to work for the equity and justice to be brought by the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). How is it that you have championed the rights of non-voting illegal aliens in this Country, while ignoring the rights of those tax paying voters of the alternative lifestyle sexual orientation, gender and gender presentation communities? What happened to your pledge to stand for our equality?

Question for the President:
As a college student the cost of my tuition keeps rising and I’m afraid that it’s going to take me longer to pay it back based on the way things are going. I had been out of work for 2 years before going back to school and honestly I went back to school so I could get a “work study” job. I’ll graduate in 2012 with close to 95k in loans. What plans if any do you have in place to help make sure that the cost of tuition is level with income? Also once the Space Program is scrapped who are we “contracting” that out to or are we forfeiting technology and innovation altogether?

One more question for President Obama:
I can see how the whole infrastructure thing will help but that’s only for a small group of people and for a short amount of time. What about people in other industries? Will allowing the Bush Tax cuts to expire on those making 250k or more really help? if so how? I worked for a mid-sized company. I hope to be rehired by them because I loved my job but with the tax cuts expiring I’m not sure if they’re taking people back. They just let go of 15 more workers.

Our country is suffering, due to jobs that are no longer here. Companies are packing up and moving to China, Mexico and elsewhere. We need to make sure that companies who profit by taking jobs out of the USA, pay to bring them back. HOW CAN WE DO THIS? Also, the American people believe that (only citizens) should receive benefits of any kind…If we could accomplish this feet it would go a long way in solving our money problems here. How can we go about making this change?

Dear Mr. President,
Last year, my husband and I filed bankruptcy for our two local bookstores we purchased six years ago. I have Masters Degree in Education he has a Bachelor Degree in Arts. I was hired as a full-time teacher in New Jersey. Relief we thought for we now will have full benefits for our children and ourselves. Two weeks before my contract was to commence I received letter stating that they had to rescind on their offer for an employment contract for the current school year. I was a product of Reduction In Force. New Jersey Teachers received their biggest cuts in employment in over two decades. My question is why did you not extend The Cobra American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for another year. Cobra cost would be over $1100.00 less than what my unemployment check would be for the beginning of the month.
My husband did receive a job in sales but works on commission. I have been sending out resumes for the past month.
I went back to school to recieve a second Masters as a Reading Specialist in hopes times would get better. Please help!

Please ask the President when he will push for the extention of unemployment benefits. We know jobs will take time & we need help to make it until then.
Also can you ask him about jobs for seniors. We can’t get Medicare until we’re 65 & if nobody is hiring anyone over 50 that puts us in a position of having to rely on the welfare rolls. Something we don’t want to do. We want to work.

Only 2 questions for the President:
1. We ‘re-signed the ADA” recently, many deaf and hard of hearing are STILL being punished for being disabled, they are still being told doctors won’t see them because of costs for interpreters, they are STILL being told that doctors won’t accept patients because ‘they can’t’ (hiding real reason, not afford interpeters) and they still languish in prisons, or in day programs for DD because no one wants to pay for communication access. What is being done to make this more fair for our citizens who are deaf and hard of hearing?
2. Connected to that train of thought, many employers won’t hire because of ‘reasonable accomodations’ and so many deaf and hard of hearing are still missing out on job opportunities because they ‘can’t hear on the phone’ and the companies are not open to ‘job carving’ where some duties could be exchanged for others. These people are relying on SSA to provide them with rent and food monies but that is so little these days that many can’t even afford the bus to go to the doctor when they should and could be working instead. What is being done to make jobs accessible and attainable for deaf and hard of hearing so they don’t have to rely on “uncle sam” for funds?

George please ask Mr. President what is going to happen to the unemployment insurance? I lost a job I had been in for 13 yrs & can not find another one. When my unemployment runs out we will be in dire straights, we can’t get any help modifying the mortgage so I guess we will loose everything. Then what? It just seems like it is always the middle class that suffers the worst. Is there anything anyone will help us with?

George: Please ask the President if he intends to address the issue of the “99ers”. The policy makers need to understand that people who are out of work, are actively seeking and can’t find work. Many states require that you actively seek in order to collect. This is not WELFARE, many Americans have paid into the system.
Prior to my being out of work I actively worked on the same job for 27 years and never once collected unemployment. The President needs to address this issue. Families need to be clothed, fed and housed. If unemployment can be extended for another 6 mos under the jobs program is in full force, it will be greatly appreciated. I realize that Mr. President has done a lot during his 20 mos in office.
Please pose this question relative to the “99ers”. Thank you very much.

Id like to ask the president why he surrounds himself with people who want to fundamentally change this country as we know it–he never once said he wants to recapture the American spirit that founded this country. ANd INSTEAD, HE CHOOSES TO KEEP EVERYONE ON THE DOLE –welfare, unemployment and bailouts–when do we make people stand up and work hard–and lets get rid of all the illegal immigrants, that will give millions of honest Americans a job instead of all the illegals taking a labor job away from americans.

George, I dare you to ask him where he stands on that issue…c’mon, I dare you..we all know where Mayor Bloomberg stands–love it or hate it–he has the to say what he feels but ask Obama to just say what he feels..he won’t…we could all watch him squirm if you did

I would like to ask President Obama if he is now or has been in communication recently with his late father’s side of his family. If so, when was the most recent day of that occasion when they contacted him or he contacted them, whether by daily correspondence by phone, email or in confidence through other means. Please be honest. Are the paternal relatives on engaged in speaking terms and when was their last conversation with you either in english or by translation. This includes but not limited to his father’s Brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, offspring and their cousins. Thank you for taking my question.

Mr Obama, If the republicans as well as the democrats want jobs then why isn’t the question raised . stop the excessive importing of even the simple things like pencils made in china, or socks in pakastan and start making the products here. thats how to put america to work. if the republicans want the tax breaks extended then it should be tied to restricting companys of making or importing products from overseas you could make multi thousands of jobs by looking around each day of the things we use that was once made here. Thank you

What about the average American who truely wants back/needs to be in the work force but, has very little money, under $10,000 to live on?? How can we put money back in the system when we don’t have any. The President has let all average Americans down on his empty promises.

Yes George i would like to know why the President haven’t raised the senior citizen that receive a fixed income. And those that receive Disability.Haven’t got a raise in the past two years.Because the cost of living is gonig up every day.I think they are the ones need help.

Posted by: Sharon Pearson | September 8, 2010, 7:56 am 7:56 am

Dear Mr President, One of the issues that I beleive that has been overlooked with the unemployment situation is that many of todays employers, previous to 9/11 had made changes to how they run their businesses. You have lean management, kiazian, just in time programs to reduce or minimize the labor used in the workplace, and the employer has found they can get more work done by 1 (one) employee instead of 5 (five) that had been used in the past. This has cut the workforce on the average by at least 65%. These employers are NEVER going to go back and hire more people because it’s not cost effective and will only decrease their bottom line. This also have driven the wages to an all time low over the last 10 years and the employer has the pick of the crop to choose from. Who can compete with someone with a Phd that is stepping down in a job that normally held by someone who holds a Assiciates Degree. You would have to create a whole lot of jobs to absorb the amount of people the have lost their jobs just to downsizing

We need more definition by you newscasters–You stir up fear by not giving enough facts–Don’t you have researchers that can figure this stuff out?
1. What IS a small business–vs a large business?
2. How many people do they employ in the US?
3. What is the average net income of the small business? How many have a net taxable income over $250,000?
4. How much more will they pay in taxes if the Bush tax cuts are repealed?
5. How many jobs would actually be lost or not created because of this?
6. Are other tax cut measures able to counteract this?

Posted by: Lynda Tracz | September 8, 2010, 8:13 am 8:13 am

Here is a question, when ford had trouble the managment took pay cuts. Why isnt the president and all managment willing to take a pay cut. I dont hear them saying we will help the country by doing this. People are loosing jobs and dont have money to afford the new health care but they continue to benefit. When is the government going to start to give and take cuts?

What I would hope people would realize is we the people of the united states are some what at fault in the ecomomy bening what it is. first if we would stop giving tax breaks and incentives without somthing in return we wouldn’t be in this mess. I say this because I grew up in Flint Michigan the hardest hit city in the country and we lost ALL
of our G.M. jobs and why ? they went over seas and we gave the companys millions of dollars to stay in tax breaks from our mayors and where did it get us no where. if we are to create jobs then we must buy and build here like we did in the 50′s and 60′s. we cant also expect $25.00 hr either we are a world economy. its better to have 1000 jobs at $8.50 hr or none. so when the republicans want the tax on wealthy extended, make them give jobs here first and the tax incentives as per each job created, an eye for an eye so to speak

They ask you if you are a veteran if yes Are you a Koren Vet, Viet Nam Era vet, Viet Nam Vet,Afganistan Vet, Iraq Vet. I am a Viet Nam Era vet and proud of it. But when I check that they know how old I am. The newst thing is how many years of work experience do you have. they have numbers any where from 1 to 20+ years. This needs to stop. I can do the work just like anyone else I am a CSR work in a call center and answer phones all day. My unemployment is about to run out, my husband is on disablity. On SSI I would get a little over $600 a month. I am scared and worried what to do.

I think it’s a travesty that Veterans and seniors are treated with such disrespect. You have cut Medicare and Veterans benefits. When I was drafted to serve my country, I was loyal and dedicated, now I feel like the government don’t give a %*#@ about their Soldiers. When I was stationed in Germany, I learned that the Russian government would help buy houses for their troops getting out of the military. But, in the US, we have the worst dental plan for veterans in the entire world. I’m fed up with Democrats and Republicans posturing… From a forgotten Soldier!!

Also At a recent Yankee Game I went to buy a hat and shirt, my husband said no, they wer made in China.
They preach we support America but sell goods made in other countries.
How can we bring the manufacturing of these goods back to America? It will make many new jobs.

Why has he not gotten the three people kept in Iran out? Another Jimmy Carter.
Why is is investing in Kenya and Brazil, when our own country has huge deficits?
Why does he allow his buddys at GE not to pay any taxes?

George – please ask the President why he thinks that 2 earner families earning a total of $250,000 are wealthy. If we get divorced (evidently a goal of the government) we would each be able to earn $200,000 without being called wealthy. My math says that is $400,000. In California and in many parts of the country, the cost of living is very high. We already have a tax hike coming because of the new medicare tax on unearned income. It seems that we are entitled to no tax breaks and no income related tax credits. We are clearly middle class and have to think twice about going out to dinner, and yet we are expected to shoulder the tax burden. We pay heavy state income taxes and property taxes as well as federal income tax and payroll taxes. We pay for our own health insurance and have done so since we were 21 years old. In all but one year, the insurance cost has outweighed the reimbursements we received from health insurance companies. It hurts to think that nearly 45 percent of households in this country are not paying any federal income tax. If they don’t pay anything, they have no buy in to the programs being offered and therefore think runaway government spending is just fine. I know your position is that this is all fair and if anything, we should pay even more of our income into the government pot. I respectfully disagree and say that we are already bleeding. We have lost retirement savings and our house price has fallen. We have not walked away from our mortgage and we have behaved in a responsible manner. We did not benefit from the boom and we are suffering in the recession. We did not borrow tons of money and then stick the bank with the bad debt. We are middle class and I am tired of hearing that we are wealthy and in a class with Warren Buffet. Please take a step back and reevaluate your position about what is wealthy and what is middle class. Also, please rethink your position that families cannot earn 2 times the amount of singles before being hit with a hike. We don’t need any more single parent households and believe me, tax matters.

Please tell President Obama to stop asking for permission to solve the problems in America, but get on his old work clothes and pitch in. If you want it done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Create Jobs, Save American Homes, Don’t Push Seniors into Poverty. Keep the promises you made and make it right. So get up tomorrow and breathe deep, its going to be a long road. Let you and all Americans share the pain of this broken economy and not offload onto the poor and defenseless just because its easy to do and make excuses or ignore them altogether. President Obama, tonight when you goto bed dream that your parents are living on the street, and what are you going to do about it? Send a stranger to find them and tell them your working on a plan, that things will get better soon, or get off you rump and go pick them up and feed them, give them some of your piles of money so they can help themselves for awhile, and assure them your just a phone call away in an emergency, because you believe in them. Are we Americans any less important? Stop with all the talk! Get to work! Listen to Debbie Stabenow. Help Americans with Tier 5.

1. Reduce spending by cutting congressional budgets by 25%, including health care, with no firings of staff.
2. Taxes – one change – any gross compensation/bonus, etc. over $1.5 million taxed at 80%, no deduction or exemption or setoff except 80% reduction for new jobs created and filled by 12/31/2010.
3. Tax incentives – ONLY for jobs actually created in advance.

George, please ask President Obama if he will let San Francisco County, elected offical, Public Defender, Jeff Adachi & his billionaires friends supporter of Prop B to take another 20% to 30% pay cut from the lowest city worker in SF to fund their Venture Capital Sequoia Funding. If Prop B passes, a bunch of us lowest paid/single parents will lose their home & their kids will have to use public health services and public assistance. I already take a put cut of 5.77% 7/1/10 & 10 unpaid holidays last year. I have a medical condition but I chose to work to support my son as a single parent but if Adachi wants to take another $1000.00 from my paycheck…I will be better off be on Permanent Disability and let the government take care of my son and I. will be able to take advantage of all kinds of government assistance but I want to work…please keep me on the payroll as a member of the hard working family instead of a receipent of government assistance…Please help all of us, the lowest paid city worker in San Francisco…

Immigration – All our focus is on Arizona and the other border states. What about Florida? Please explain to me why the United States has a wet foot / dry foot law with Cuban immigrants plus the U.S. give each Cuban immigrant about $8 – $10 K for making it to the U.S. Most Americans are unaware of this policy. This is ridiculous. This law needs to be revised. And what happens to the immigrants when they settle in the United States, are the citizens of the U.S. Do they pay taxes? Do they work and contribute to society? Why are Haitian immigrant, Mexican, and others turned away from this county and Cubans are treated differently. All immigrants should be treated the same under one policy.

Good Day, George
President Obama discussed putting people to work on roads, bridges, and highways. The families that will spend money are those that work in fast food, and other service jobs. Why are they always left out of the equation. In addition, some people that are out of work are laborers who may not have the education of those working on the highways etc..Why can’t President Obama put in some stipulations for businesses that will get tax breaks to hire x-number of individuals with a high school diploma or GED, these are with people with families that will work hard for a business. At the same time, building their skill base. On-the-training is a good way to get people back to work in manufacturing and technology. Several people would love to have a job but are lacking the skills. So, why is this sector of the population ignored? These families are the ones who will jump start the economy not the well-to-do folks.

In May of this year President Felipe Calderon of Mexico spoke before Congress and met with Obama…applause, applause. On the same day Wolfe Blitzer interviewed Mr. Calderon and asked the President if his police officers racially profile and pull over individuals suspected of not being Mexican citizens. His answer was, “Yes, of course.” If the indivual(s) pulled over cannot prove their citizenship they are either immediately forced to leave the country or are jailed. President Calderon also stated that illegals CANNOT be employed in Mexico. My questions to Obama is: (1) Why, oh why, did you NOT stand up to President Calderon and put the safety of Americans first? (We all know the answer…IT’S VOTES!) (2) Why did you NOT fully read the Bill before filing a lawsuit against Arizona for something that is clearly not in the Bill (racial profiling) and THEN HAND THE GOVERNMENT OF ARIZONA OVER TO THE UNITED NATIONS FOR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY! ARE YOU KIDDING? WHAT COUNTRY ARE YOU PRESIDENT OF? Step outside of the White House and take at look at thE beautiful flag flying overhead! It’s the AMERICAN flag, Mr. Obama! That Bill wasn’t racist. We all know good and bad people come across the border, but Arizona has the highest crime (per capita) in the world outside of Columbia. SHAME ON YOU, OBAMA, FOR NOT SUPPORTING YOUR GOVERNOR WHOSE STATE IS IN DIRE NEED OF ASSISTANCE!

Tell him to go back and remember them because surely he is acting like he has forgotten them and US.Hate to think we might have been wrong about his honesty. Why is it the politicians we voted in can get raises and we can’t.Especially when they don’t need the salary increases and we suffer when we don’t receive them.

When the Kennedy’s were associate with the Mafia, everyone accepted it, he was a good president, and Americans ride President Obama more than any other President I have seen. It almost appears that Americans are saying, we will let the blacks in office but if he can’t do anything the first term, we tried and he did not cut the mustard. Obama is no different than other presidents that tried. If he did not get so much pressure and ridiculed maybe he could help us. I feel he is doing his best, we just will not allow him to do his job. The system we have is not working and no one will allow him to change it. We rather work with a broken system than to accept change, people that are rich want to keep getting rich and leave the poor, poor. Ask Obama, now that the people believed in you to place you in office, and ridicule you after they placed you in office, what do you think of them? What do you think when you are trying to do a different system, because the one we have has been since the depression, and the people who placed you in office are the main ones keeping you from making change? We want change, but do not want to pay the cost of it. We rather have instant gratification without changing things. Yet, we can’t get it without change. Obama is a brave man, because they want him to fail, so they can say, “Well, we tried a black man and they did nothing” A hundred years later and we have not changed as a society…….how sick are we????

I think you should ask him when he is going to propose to Congress and the Senate that he be allowed to drop the title of President, and replace it with the more accurate title of Premier. And when is he going to change his registered political party afiliation from Democrat, to Communist/Socialist? And lastly, would he bel willing to propose to Congress and the Senate that the Democratic Party be re-named “The New American Communist Party”. It is MUCH more accurate of a description of the current leftist movement than is the term Democrat. Remember, it was the Democratic Party that opposed the Republican President, the Honorable President Lincoln over the War of Northern Aggression. Democrat just isn’t an accurate description of the current party’s belief system. Honesty concerning affiliations and values would be a refreshing and welcome change of pace.

If there is more marijauna being produced in the United States then the DEA is taking out, why does the United States continue to waste billions of dollars per year keeping weed illegal and ruining innocent peoples lives? Also along with that how come a person who has raped or murdered can still get a loan from the bank, but someone convicted of marijuana possession cannot? Isnt that counter productive to society.
