Does anyone understand that no one is against immigration; there is a legal way to enter the country. Entering the country illegally is apparently not illegal anymore? Only bigots want to have the law enforced. When did this become the new reality?

Well lets see. There are about 56 different cultures in Mexico. There decendents of Germans, Jews, English, French, and yes even asian. Look at the Olmec and the Indians living in the Yucatan. There are lots of Mexicans who have asian ancestry.
So what is the big deal? I have Mexcian friends who look more white than some of my white friends and as well as those who are dark skinned and even some who are olive colored.
So lets get real here.

Um, what would you expect.
If I say I’ve got a friend who is in the country illegally, working illegally with fake papers, and unrepentant and unwilling to learn English… do you know what race they are?
There’s a better than 90% chance you do. I guess statistics, numbers, and facts are also RACIST!?
Sorry, I’ll ignore all facts, evidence, information, numbers, and statistics so I can be a good liberal. I’m a complete blithering idiot incapable of even knowing what my opinion should be without asking someone first, are you proud of me now? I’ve given up any information-based thought process to avoid being a bad liberal.
I think this is a good thing, but I’ll have to ask and make sure.

Who cares who was in the commercial? This story is being blown way out of proportion. Name me one person who said something and intended it to mean something else and wished that perhaps they could rephrase it if given a second chance. Unfortunately race is on the political hot seat and people will do whatever they can to exploit it in order to give their candidate the edge. Let’s stop the racial bickering and get on with the issues at hand.

Omar G. Hernandez — And thank you. I am as well which is why I often get upset when I read and hear such stories. You know I frequently hear of similar complaints from Afro-Latinos who also often feel left out of the discussion, not to mention the countless real Asians, Middle Easterners, and Jews throughout Latin America. That part of the world is about as diverse as the United States of America.
It’s a shame that with all the political correctness in this country, the mainstream media still too often overlooks these facts.

EFM — You’re absolutely right. I am Hispanic, but my race is white. I believe the term “Hispanic” was initiated by the Nixon administration to group together all the Spanish-speaking peoples in the US for census purposes (I think I read that in Mark Levin’s “Liberty & Tyranny”).
