ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: This morning President Obama will receive his daily briefings behind-closed-doors in the Oval Office. In the afternoon the president will host a "White House Science Fair" to celebrate the winners of a broad range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competitions across the country.  Mr. Obama will view exhibits of these students’ work, ranging from breakthrough basic research to new inventions, the White House says followed by remarks.

The White House will announce today that the president is going to appear on the December 8th episode of the Discovery Channel’s “MythBusters,” a program that uses science to determine the truth behind urban legends. In the evening, the president will yet again raise money for the Democratic Party, and will deliver remarks at a dinner for the DSCC at a private residence in Rockville, Maryland. -Sunlen Miller
