First Daughters Give White House Christmas Tree Thumbs Up
EmailABC News' Tahman Bradley reports: An 18 ½ foot Douglas-fir arrived at the White House this afternoon by horse-drawn carriage. It’ll serve as the official White House Christmas tree. At a brief ceremony in front of the White House, first lady Michelle Obama, along with daughters Sasha and Malia, received the tree from Crystal Spring Tree Farm of Leighton in Pennsylvania. A band played “My Christmas Tree” when FLOTUS and the girls walked out. “So what do you think? You giving the thumbs up?” Mrs. Obama asked her daughters after a close inspection. The girls signaled to their mom that the tree had their approval. The first lady then announced, “We’ll take it.” The tree will be decorated and put up in the Blue Room of the White House. This is the second time this farm, owned by Christopher Botek, was chosen to provide the official White House tree. The Bush family took a tree from Crystal Spring Tree Farm back in 2006. Botek won the National Christmas Tree Association’s national contest back in August and White House staff handpicked the tree. — Tahman Bradley

Thumbs up on Christmas Tree and thumbs down on trying to provoke a war with North Korea over the weekend. Thought this was the dude who was going to sit down with foreign leaders and talk not send warships.

Bitter, bitter bitter. It is time to put that hate away for a few days…it is Thanksgiving time and soon to be Christmas. A time for peace and loving, even those we don’t agree with. This world would be a better place without all this hate. I would ask that you shelve it for a few weeks and start smiling at your friends and neighbors and enjoy this holiday. Life is too short for such anger.
