Biden Reflects on Grief, Suicidal Thoughts
Is Congress Sounding Dumber?
I don’t know if George will read this but I hope so. I have watched George do interviews for years now and really see a bias in the way he interviews. He comes across as favorable or at least amicable to those who disagree with President Obama. For example we know that Newt Gingrich will say anything that makes his GOP group look better and the President look worse. When George interviewed Mrs. Gingrich on 11/9 he never asked a counter question to what he was saying like pointing out that stimulus monies are being paid back to us in the millions from the car industry, banks etc.. Even I know it would have been a valid counter to what Mr. Gingrinch was alluding to and I am not a season “reporter” as George. I am a out of work American that continues to support our President. What happened election night was a mixed bag which should include the fear of whites – largely induced by media of President Obama. The lack of confidence is not because he is not doing his job – lets be honest, its his skin color. I say get over it already. George really needs to try to do better – I feel that his bias is clearly showing.

David Brooks’s emphasis is on the future to be unravelled, which is certainly an important aspect of human reality. I am sure he does not mean to slight what Emerson called the party of memory, the other being the party of hope. The danger is Henry Ford’s pithy dismissal of history (and of the past) as bunk. I hope the information wizards of the future will still find room for thinkers and writers of classic stature, who do not become obsolete with time.

I personally see for US, potential revenues with illegal aliens. Assuming 10 Million illegal immigrants can be naturalized at one time 250K USD per person as fines/fees. US Government can raise Trillions of Dollars and pay the debt one shot. This is WIN_WIN situation for all

Divided with checks and balances, is still far better than undivided, and totally out of control.

I agree with Peggy’s comments its all about the president’s skin color. Get over it!!! NOW!! During this time in our history we need to pull together and stop the madness. Yes, George does seem very bias with his interviews. I am always waiting for him to ask a comeback question to a response. Come on George you can do better. If not let Robin conduct the policy interviews.

Death Panels, and a cloud of fear surrounded the Health Care issue — The dark ones love to create an atmosphere of fear, for they cannot thrive or survive long in an atmosphere of love and harmony.
America, it is time We take our country back from the Money Changers — time to get off the “yellow-brick road” and realize that every time corporations and smaller businesses get tax breaks –, guess where the taxes rise? Locally and at state levels. The cold-hearted fact is that Everyday, average Americans shoulder the tax burden in this country, due to tax loopholes, tax cuts and tax breaks for wealthy Americans and Corporations who do not need it. Why in the world would Wealthy Americans need more tax breaks when they pay very little taxes anyway, they need to pay their fair share and take the burden off those who can least afford it. These tax-cuts will cost the country $700 Billion, twice the cost of the Healthcare bill. Ironically, GOP hate to extend unemployment benefits to Americans who desperately need them, while violently fighting to extend tax cuts for the wealthy, who do not need them. And, America is not as divided as they try to make out that we are. We all want the same things, happiness, to be safe, and a chance to be the best that we can be.
GOP mantra: cut, cut, and more cuts for the middleclass and poor and extend helping hand to the military machine and the wealth merchants. Have we lost our common sense: to create jobs, one must invest in America, her infa-structure, technology and innovations, but Party of No only wants to invest in the rich and well connected.
Think about it, if we had Universal Healthhcare Reform, premiums would be a LOT LESS for everyone — but that would be too much like doing the right thing — such as being our Brothers’ keeper and treating your neighbor as you would want to be treated yourself!

I disagree that George is a biased interviewer. I miss him greatly on “This Week”. He would listen to the different views and ask appropiate quesions. Perhaps some people are “biased” in what they want to hear. Checks andBalance was how the founders saw our government working, and no one said it would be EASY.

Trying to make this about the color of the presidents skin is absolutely wrong. He got elected because white people voted him in. This old game of calling people racist because they disagree is not working anymore. Try to come up with something more intelligent.

I saw the interview with Michelle Backman and was amazed by her statement the $250,000 referred to in the tax cut debate is referring to a businesses gross receipts. That is absolutely untrue. It would be only on taxable income! I can’t believe George didn’t call her on that blatent error. Is she intensionally miss stating the facts to promote her agenda?
