ABC News’ Sunlen Miller Reports: Speaking to reporters at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, President Obama opened up with a joke in reference to his 12 stitches on his lower left lip after an elbow during a basketball game Friday .  “Let me begin by pointing out that, although Washington is supposed to be a town of sharp elbows, it’s getting a little carried away,” Mr. Obama joked. The president’s lip today showed off his 12 stitches he needed in after he was inadvertently hit while playing basketball with friends and family. The president was playing defense when Rey Decerega, an opposing player, turned into him to take a shot and his elbow hit Obama in the mouth. The president said today for those who are worried about him that he “should be OK,” and that the White House doctor has given him a clean bill of health. “I will continue to be playing basketball whenever I get a chance,” he said, “In fact, I played yesterday with Sasha and Malia, and they took it easy on me ’cause they were feelin’ pity.”
