President Obama’s short time in Indonesia may be a little shorter due to the ash cloud from the volcanic Mount Merapi.

While flying on Air Force One from New Delhi to Indonesia this morning White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters that the anticipated departure on Tuesday could be moved up by a couple hours due to forecasting that the ash cloud could disrupt air traffic again.

The president was to have arrived in South Korea on Wednesday night. "Getting to Korea a touch earlier is almost certainly going to happen,” Gibbs said.

The largest concern is the president’s major speech to the Muslim world planned tomorrow morning at the University of Indonesia among a slew of other events.

"My sense is, our hope is that while we may have to truncate some of the morning we can get the speech in, "Gibbs said.

The president’s trip is already a makeup after having twice been postponed due to the president having to attend to domestic issues over the summer.
