Wow, hated the Bush tax cuts, didn’t want them, would be a terrible idea. Oh but now, he wants to take credit for the tax cut extentions. Does he really thing we don’t remember everything his says, maybe he should stay off TV for a while and keep his mouth shut. (I know that is impossible, his ego want let him)

“Fair” is in the eye of the beholder, of course.
Most people believe that “fairness” would include that everyone should pay SOME taxes.
But currently the bottom 40-45% of wage earners pay $0 income taxes.
Targeting tax increases for ‘the rich’ is simply bad policy since these are typically the people who have the money to hire others and produce jobs.
IMHO, a flat tax is a much fairer solution all around.
If everyone paid %8 of their income with no deductions whatsoever then we could end the incessant class warfare and covetousness/envy type of politics which the Democrats use to divide the country.

Deficit / tax policy solution: 50% over 500k, cut to 25% if from NEW operations only, 0% if operation is in a ghetto.
That addresses the deficit, a proportionate burden put back on the wealthiest during crisis fiscal times like now, and real incentives to start new businesses.
Did you add many-fold to your wealth during the Reagan/Bush era when upper tax tiers were slashed in both 1981 and 2001?
I didn’t think so. Emergency times are emergency times, and fair is fair…

weird people. This character Obama(sic) and his henchmen seems to be oddly, lest we say obsessed with, minor issues. Yes, I said minor. Look at even the most leftist, biased, and skewed statistics about the numbers of Moslems, gays, LGBTS, or whatever. And then looks at the real issues: war, profiteering, civil right violations, REAL environmental problems, and the economy. But Obama(sic) and his cronys always focus on odd sex, foreign religious zealots, etc. Weird. What is their agenda?

The problem we may never overcome is the “forties”.
Forty-some percent receive government help or entitlements, forty-some percent pay no taxes, forty-some percent of every federal dollar spent is borrowed and forty-some percent think the Obama is doing a good job!

Hogwash. The prevailing scientific view is that sexual orientation is biological in nature, determined by a complex interplay of genetic factors and the early uterine environment. How does that become “wrong” if it was in the hands of God?
There is NO substantive evidence to support your suggestion of “morals” or that early childhood experiences, parenting, sexual abuse, or other adverse life events influence sexual orientation.

Wrong – your post is stuck in the last century. Today in France there are now two Civil Unions for every three marriages. And, the overwhelming majority of Civil Unions are between STRAIGHT couples !
Even the French church officials are happy with the concept of a Civil Union – it confers most of the tax benefits and legal protections of traditional marriage, but keeps “marriage” with its religious connotations – everyone wins, especially those who support the idea of marriage being only between a man and a woman.
