In this week's Political Punch Digital show, Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., takes us behind the scenes of House Democrats' discontent with President Obama and the tax cut deal.
"You heard 'blow the deal up' — that was the closest you get to an affirmation of 'we're not going to take this deal,'" Grijalva says of last week's raucous caucus with VP Biden. "You did feel frustration, certain amount of anger, and as one of my colleagues put so well, disrespect….We have 183 survivors of that midterm and no consultation, no discussion."
Grijalva says House Democrats' point is "who's going to own this package. And I think this incoming majority in the House, the new Republicans who are coming into the Senate, they should own this….Let them own it."
